MIDNIGHT A COCOA - สี่แยกบ้านแขก — Restaurant in Somdet Chao Phraya Subdistrict

This "a hole in the wall" cocoa drink place is not serving you drink, but a tasteful (yet confusing) experience. The owner is a duo of young people who have a full-time job. They don't have a precise schedule of open hours because they will open the shop when they feel like to, or have enough free time to come back open the shop. They will close the shop wherever they feel like to, as well. So you better go buy lotteries in the next morning because you were lucky enough to see this shop open LOL.

Anyway, whenever it's open, you will see multiple lines waiting. Next, the game session which is its selling point now begin.

1. You will be stamped on your wrist to prove that you are a person waiting in line.
2. Next, the "drawing lots" session. A bucket is taken out and inside are ping-pong balls with numbers on them.
3. For example, I got number 7 which indicates your queue (based on luck, not the first come first served basis), and then, the owner will give you set of cards (like what you play in games) that are the exact number of your ball number. I don't know why they give set of a few other cards with the number 7 card.
4. Once it's your queue (mine was 7), you will be called out with number followed by the shape on your card. So mine was "7 hearts".
5. Now wait for your drink which only have 1 option; that is cocoa drink.

In my opinion, you can get fancier cocoa drink with more fancy price somewhere else if you are a real cocoa/chocolate drink junkie. At 50฿ price point, there is nothing much to expect.

By the way, this shop makes thing further complicated at purchasing. They only accept 50฿ banknotes. Don't worry if you don't have this note because they exchange your notes. Like.. what? I gave them a 100฿ banknote, returned with two 50฿ banknotes. Then, I used one of their 50฿ banknotes to pay it...

L.V. 1 Goodnight รสชาติโกโก้ที่ไม่เข้มมาก

L.V.2 Midnight เข้มข้นแบบกลาง

และ L.V.3 Darknight เข้มข้นที่สุด

⚠️คำเตือน ควรที่จะเช็คแฟนเพจเฟสบุ๊คหรือไลน์@ ของร้านก่อนว่าร้านเปิดไหม ทางร้านเขาจะมีปฏิทินเดือนต่อเดือนเลยว่าวันไหนร้านเปิด วันไหนมี delivery วันไหนมีให้มารับหน้าร้าน และวันไหนปิดร้าน จะได้ไม่เสียเที่ยวค่ะ ร้านเปิด 4 ทุ่ม เปิดจองคิวตอน21.50 และปิดตี 2 แต่ว่า ก่อนออกจากบ้านก็อย่าชะล่าใจ เช็คอีกซักทีว่าวันนี้ Sold Out หรือยัง? ถ้าขายหมด ก็ปิดก่อนนะ เพราะวันนึงทำไม่เยอะมาก

ถ้าใครไปตั้งแต่ร้านเปิด

1.จับลูกปิงปองเสี่ยงโชค

ทางร้านจะจับคิวประมาณ 21.50น. เค้าใช้วิธีเสี่ยงดวง! ใครที่มาก่อนเวลา 21.50น. ให้ทุกคนจับลูกปิงปองเสี่ยงโชคไปเลยว่าจะได้คิวที่เท่าไหร่ กติกานี้ใช้เฉพาะตอนที่ร้านเปิดนะคะ (คนมาพร้อมกันเยอะๆจนไม่รู้ใครมาก่อน-หลัง) และสำหรับใครที่มาไม่ทันเค้าจับลูกปิงปองก็รันคิวต่อไปจากคิวสุดท้ายเลยค่ะ

2.ใช้ไพ่เป็นบัตรคิวหลังจากที่เราจับลูกปิงปอง จะได้ไพ่แทนบัตรคิวค่ะ ใช้วิธีเรียกเรียงตาม สีและดอก และ เลข A จะใหญ่ที่สุด ดอกก็เรียงตามนี้เลยค่ะ โพแดง โพดำ ดอกจิก ข้าวหลามตัด ให้เอาลูกปิงปองไปแลกกับไพ่มา ตรงนี้ถ้าใครจะเอากี่แก้วให้แจ้งทีมงานของร้านเลยนะคะ เพราะไพ่ 1 ใบ เท่ากับ 1 แก้ว เพราะบางคนเข้าใจผิดคิดว่า ไพ่ 1 ใบ เท่ากับ 1 คิว เพราะฉะนั้นถ้าเราจะรับ 5 แก้ว เราก็จะได้ไพ่มา 5 ใบค่ะ คราวนี้เราก็จะคำนวณได้เลยว่า ต้องรอนานแค่ไหน ตามสีและดอกของไพ่

ร้านนี้นางรับแต่แบงค์ 50 นะคะ ถึงจะซื้อ 2 แก้ว ก็ไม่รับแบงค์ 100แล้วถ้าไม่มี มีตู้เซฟสำหรับแลกค่ะ เพราะอะไรต้องแบงค์ 50 ทางร้านบอกว่า ปกติชอบแบงค์ 500 แต่ว่าจะขายแก้วละ 500 บาท ก็แพงไป คนทั่วไปเจอแบงค์ 50 ก็จะเก็บกัน อยากให้เอาแบงค์ที่มีค่า มาแลกกับโกโก้ที่มีค่าเช่นกัน

This place should be fairly reachable but due to current works in front of it, traffic was terrible and we were stuck there for more than an hour.
