Visited Cafe Der See during my trip to Songkhla, and it was such a pleasant stop. This café is a lovely little gem with a relaxing vibe and a stunning view, perfect for anyone looking to enjoy a slow afternoon by the water.
The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. They greeted us with a smile, took our orders politely, and served everything in a timely manner. It made the whole experience smooth and welcoming.
The environment is one of the highlights of this café. It’s comfortable, spacious enough to not feel crowded, and has a very nice view of the water. The seating is arranged in a way that allows you to enjoy the scenery while sipping your drink. It’s a great spot to chill, chat with friends, or just enjoy some quiet time by yourself with a book.
Price-wise, I found it very reasonable. The food portions match the price, so it feels fair for what you’re getting. We tried the coffee, tea, and some cake — and everything tasted good. The coffee was nicely brewed, smooth, and aromatic. The cake was moist and not overly sweet, which paired perfectly with the drinks. The tea was also quite nice, refreshing, and served at the right temperature.
What makes Cafe Der See special is its unique location and view. Being able to sit and enjoy the calmness of the sea while having a cup of coffee makes the visit feel more special and memorable.
Overall, I would rate Cafe Der See 4 out of 5. It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy a good cup of coffee with a beautiful view. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Songkhla and looking for a cozy, scenic café...
Read moreWe really like this restaurant and find the staff helpful. Unfortunately they don't have anyone with good English so on my own it can be a challenge to communicate. Most the food is good quality and fresh and a wide selection available. I find the fish dishes really good. The croissants never seem fresh. We found that if we brought out own fresh fruit for breakfast the restaurant would prepare this for us. Mostly their espresso was very good. Definitely some of the best coffee I have ever had. They have the best heated cups I have ever found. Sometimes the breakfast espresso were only luke warm. They have a good selection of craft beers plus other beer. They have a very small selection of wine by the bottle only. They have BYO and only change BT100. per bottle. Much of the outside deck is over water so the views are exceptional and includes a parade of fishing tug boats. They regularly have live music in the evenings. I have enjoyed this restaurant a lot and definitely...
Read moreSuch a beautiful view of Lake Songkhla! We were welcomed by very friendly and attentive staff, although there was a slight language barrier but they still handled everything professionally. The shop is clean and comfortable with both indoor and outdoor seating.
The menu is quite varied, offering local Thai dishes and western options. We ordered Kra pao, pad thai and fried rice. Food tasted authentic and flavourful, with bursts of spiciness, sweetness and savouriness all at once. there’s a hint of sourness which makes them even more appetizing. The prices are reasonable for their Thai cuisine (western are a little overpriced) and the portions...
