Tae Hiang Aew — Restaurant in Songkhla Province

Have heard about this place for a long long time, but always missed it every time we were in town. So this time, we checked with the restaurant in advance. And hooray! They were open! So we had lunches there for two consecutive days. The food was delicious! Clean tasting and just tasty. This place leans more on their Chinese flair, with their Tom Yum containing spring onion and toasted garlic for instance. But then, their southern Gang Som was spot on. Great quality of all ingredients, reasonable prices and lovely service.

26/12/2023 กลับมาอีกแล้ว สั้งเหมือนเดิม แต่วันนี้ปลากระบอกหมด เลยลองสั่งเป็ดพะโล้ (ไม่ชอบแนวนี้) รอบหน้าจะสั่งลูกชิ้นปลาลวก สั่งข้าว 1ถ้วยก่อน ถ้าหมดค่อยสั่งเพิ่ม ...ไม่ต้องสั่งน้ำเปล่า แต่สั่งชา(แบบเย็น) 1เหยือก

27/12/2022 ไปยืนรอตั้งแต่ก่อนร้านเปิด (รอบเย็นร้านเปิด 17.00น.) กว่าร้านจะเปิดให้เข้าไปนั่งคือ 17.20น. เลือกโต๊ะด้านในจะได้ใกล้ครัว เรียกสั่งอาหารได้ง่าย ดูเมนูไปล่วงหน้าจะได้ไม่ช้า

ยำมะม่วงทรงเครื่อง - ต้องสั่ง ลองให้รู้รส ทานเพลินดี หมูสับต้มบ๊วย - ชอบมาก หมูสับนุ่ม น้ำซุปรสจัดดี ปลากระบอกทอด - ทอดมาร้อนๆ กรอบนอกนุ่มใน ต้มยำปลากระพงแห้ง - รสเข้มข้น ปลาชิ้นน้อยๆ กุ้งผัดกระเทียมพริกไทย - คาดหวังมาก (ดูรูปในรีวิวมา) กับเมนูนี้ แต่ชอบน้อยสุด คิดว่าคนทำ(พ่อครัว/แม่ครัว)อาจคนละคนกัน ตอนแรกว่าจะสั่งกุ้งแม่น้ำ (กิโลละ 2,300) แต่ไม่มั่นใจในคุณภาพของกุ้ง เลยสั่งกุ้งธรรมดา คิดถูกละ
