Amber Koh Samui — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Stunning location at InterContinental Koh Samui, Amber is all day dining, both inside and outside. A Western, Thai, Indian and Vegan menu on offer. Saturday night they have an Indian Night. We had lunch there in the cool AC. Served prawn crackers and chili dip for a snack, then we had Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka and a Rocket salad and icecream for dessert. Its good they dont serve plastic straws. Last night they hosted a special dinner collab with a Bangkok place called 'Eat Me' Chef Tim. Watch the hotels socials as they often have some cool things on. Went on a Saturday early evening during our stay, place was half filled, most tables outside were seated. We prefer sitting inside.

Good: ambience at night was cosy and classy. staff were patient and observant, service was very good and made us feel comfortable and welcome. good variety of vegetarian options. Saturday dinner buffet is a must go for. We had the Indian theme buffet and the dishes I had were all delicious and well prepared. Kudos to the chef cooking outside and the entire kitchen team! restaurant team were quick to respond to the sudden thunderstorm and quickly moved tables from the outside in.

Amber, Samui Intercontinental Hotel My family and I came here for my husband's birthday dinner for the first time on June 7. I was hugely disappointed by the Thai food at Amber starting from the heavy foamy mocha followed by stale western bread! Then all the Thai dishes was heavy and greasy making two out of five of us fallen sick with heavy stomach the next morning!!! I agreed the sea view was beautiful however for twice I almost got burnt by the extremely hot glass tops at their famous Air Bar filled with electrical wiring!!!
