Arrow Pub — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Unfortunately we had a bad experience here. My partner and I visited last night to check out the delicious looking cakes and also their fruits. Upon arriving the lady behind the counter began shouting at us telling us to pay 50 Baht for parking if we are going across the street, or it's free if we are coming here. We acknowledged her saying "Ok!", but she continued to repeat this to us. I went closer to her (maybe she didn't hear us) and I told her "we are here to look at your desserts" and she said "ok fine then free", but then strangely began to continue repeating that we should pay 50 Baht if we are going across the street while we were still looking at their fruits and desserts. It was bizarre and disturbing. This whole thing went on for around 5 minutes. I decided to ask the man behind the counter "Why is she so upset with us?" but he did not say anything and basically ignored us. It was so bizarre that this made me wonder if we were being racially profiled, since nothing was said to others customers of a different ethnicity that were visiting during the same time.

Since we couldn't focus at all on the actual purchasing of desserts and fruits because of this shouting lady, we left and took our business elsewhere.

Here's a suggestion to the management here -- rather than shouting customers away, put a sign outside your restaurant that says "Parking for...

Special place, run by special people. Food quite amazing, and affordable prices. what I had (so far green curry, tom yum soup, mango avocado salad) was very fresh, cooked with love and fresh spices. Free self service tea for guests, with a variety of fresh herbs & spices (never new bergamotte can be a tasty kind of lemon?!). Very nice coconut yogurt (mango-passionfruit: yum!) The sweets are without sugar and vegan (as far as I understood) - I have to say not all of them are great. I didn't try all, I guess sure some are. Very nice homemade mango sticky rice though! They also have homemade ice cream (vegan I think) - when I had some unfortunately it wasn't properly frozen, was not good. But I know it usually tastes very good.

the seller demands money despite the fact that I paid. this happened for the second time, the first time we were sitting with friends and everyone paid for themselves, when we were about to leave the seller said that we did not pay for two portions, since we were a little drunk, we paid and left. yesterday I came there to buy a piece of cake, paid and they gave me change. after the seller, not seeing that I paid and without explaining the situation to the employees, simply began to accuse me of not paying for my order, at that moment all the other employees suddenly stopped speaking English and until I myself began to clarify the situation 100,000 times, this was not resolved and he demanded payment from me. the place is open until late and I like the food and the size of the portions and the prices. but this attitude makes me wonder if I want to go there again.
