The guy behind the counter is obviously French, from the accent, but the almond croissant bore no resemblance to anything you'd eat in France. The staff also nuked it to heat it up without asking (something you should never do with pastries, as it ruins the texture). I wasn't terribly impressed, but that wasn't my biggest issue with this cafe. When I was ready to leave, I asked the staff which street the buses heading north towards MaeNam used, as I wasn't certain which direction to walk to find them (do they stick to the ring road through down, or swing towards the front to meet ferries?). The response I got from the woman who worked there? “No buses go there. You have to take a taxi. I will call for you - very good price!” That is, needless to say, a lie. When I asked her to please put her mask she said that doesnt need too because she is drinking a coffee... I said she should not face the food (which is open air) when she has to sneeze. She laughed!.. No staff wearing a mask when customers come inside. No Thai Chana check in Platform on display??
