LOOK NO FURTHER 😀

Black Stone Cafe in Phanom is a hidden gem that I had the pleasure of visiting twice in one day, and it's no exaggeration to say it was the best food I had in Thailand. This family-owned and run cafe radiates a happy and relaxed vibe, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The space itself is thoughtfully designed, with plenty of comfortable seating options that make you feel right at home.

The staff are nothing short of amazing—kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. They go out of their way to ensure you have an exceptional experience, adding a personal touch to every interaction.

As for the food, it’s not only unbelievably delicious but also incredibly reasonably priced. We tried the red and green curry, pad see ew, and sweet and sour chicken—each dish was bursting with flavor, cooked to perfection, and left us craving more, so much so we went back twice in one day.

By far, Black Stone Cafe stands out as the best place to eat in Phanom and the Khao Lak National Park. If you're ever in the area, this is an...

Nice restaurant that’s open all day, offers WiFi and also games if you like to play sth with your friends. The atmosphere is relaxed and the furniture is quite inviting. So two of my stars go towards the service and decor. One star goes towards the prices which are cheap in comparison to other places here. Another plus is the free water they offer to refill your bottle and also, if you need more rice with your dish they refill it anytime. The remaining two stars are for the food which is nice (I had sth “to go” and I liked that it came with chopsticks, cutlery and in a tray instead of a plastic bag which made it easier to eat if you don’t have a bowl or anything to put the food onto). The only “negative” thing I can report of are the mosquitos. The place has lots of waterbodies around it so there are many of those beasts so make sure you’re loaded up on mosquito spray or you’ll be...

My first extremely bad review, which I don't like to give. However this experience must be mentioned. I arrived with a group of friends, ordered fruit shakes. Food is written by customers themselves on a piece of paper and given to the counter. I ordered a dragon fruit shake, it was watered down, no taste whatsoever, warm. I asked to remake it and when they brought it back some time later it was even worse. The papaya salad was tiny and not spicy at all as requested. Tgen we all waited for almost two!! hours, and were brought food one by one with long gaps. Some people who arrived later were served before. Ok. Currys were very small portions, only 3 small pieces of chicken. mixed up and gave two green currys instead of one green and one red. when asked they said one of tgem was in fact red(???). Absolutely appalling service, tadte and quality. Not...

This place is the absolute BEST, hands down one of my favorite restaurants in all of Thailand (no joke) and the staff is so incredibly kind!!! They became like family— coming here daily truly made my time in Khao Sok. All the food is sooo yummy and made by one woman we call mama— she’s hilarious and such a great cook! TRY EVERYTHING: banana pancake, pad thai, pad see ew, somtum (papaya salad) massaman curry (wow) fried garlic & pepper tofu…. Mango sticky rice! 😋 the shakes, everything is soo good, this place made me gain weight tbh… Lol I’m sad to leave here and these wonderful people and the coolest, hip vibe of this resto/cafe. Inspiring atmosphere, great music, I journaled here daily and danced and blew bubbles and lounged on hammock for hours while digesting this beautiful life! ขอบคุณมาก 🙏🏼🤍🕊️ I know I’ll be back again someday with just as much gratitude!
