This used to be my favorite place. Every time I came here, the first thing I would do was go for breakfast at Bubba’s. I always recommended it to my friends because it was always high-quality and had a great atmosphere. Of course, I understand that when a place has been around for a long time, sometimes mistakes happen. But today I noticed that the quality and taste of the food have gone downhill. I think it’s because the place became popular, and they stopped paying attention to quality.
I always order this dish for breakfast, but today it just wasn’t as flavorful as usual. Usually, the tang of the sauce brings me delight, and the bacon always has a rich taste. Today, though, the food was incredibly bland, and the sauce was nowhere near as tasty as before. 😔 I hope the owners read this and take note. Another odd thing — there were two pieces of bread stacked on top of each other, but they were different sizes. 🤔
When you eat a dish like this, you always need napkins, but for some reason, the waiter only brought me one napkin, and that was it — no more napkins on the table. 🥲
And lastly, the waiter brought me a fork and knife, but they weren’t wrapped in a napkin, and he was holding them by the tips — the part I’m supposed to eat with. 🤔 That was very strange, and I hope you take note of that too. The fork and knife should be wrapped in a napkin, not handed to me with bare hands. I don’t know where his hands have been.
It’s a shame that this is the impression I had today, but I’ll be back, and I hope to once again experience the atmosphere I’ve loved...
Read moreDo not miss this place! Its a pure magic! Thats why almost every day for 3 months for me would start here. Wondering what’s so special about this cute place in the middle of BanTai? First, the staff. Every day, even when I would be having grumpy morning, I would be met with kindest smiles and with the top notch hospitality. I always felt very welcome here. I think the team there are very dedicated and they are doing everything, that you would end up like me… Without being able to forget this place. Ever. Also, the coffee. Honestly - I think it was one of the best coffees I ever tasted. And if you are lucky and would meet the super friendly and knowledgeable manager of the place, ask him anything about coffee. And be prepared to get a very detailed response about it. That guy, Frank, I think, he knows everything in this world to know about it. And he is also very friendly and kind. I ended up in hospital because of dengue, had no friends around. He brought me some things from the hotel for me and some food from Bubba’s. For a complete stranger. That shows the level of kindness of people there… And… the food. The quality, ingredients, how it was made… every dish I tried was fantastic. So yeah, do yourself a favour by starting mornings here. I honestly dont know the better place for that in the whole planet❤️...
Read moreI regret to say that my experience at this coffee shop was highly disappointing. The initial cup of coffee I received was both lukewarm and sour, possibly due to the bad decision of serving a double espresso in an oversized cappuccino cup. The small size failed to retain its heat, arriving lukewarm at my table. Nonetheless, the barista promptly prepared a fresh cup in a pre-heated mug. Unfortunately, even the second double espresso had an unbelievably sour taste.
While I appreciate the concept of sourcing locally from North Thailand and roasting the beans on Koh Phangan Island to ensure high-quality coffee, it saddens me to admit that this particular offering fell well below our expectations as avid coffee enthusiasts.
The barista assured us that the sour taste was intentional and considered normal for their establishment. However, this explanation did little to assuage our disappointment. Regrettably, I cannot fathom returning for another cup of coffee in the future. On a more positive note, the food appeared appetizing, and despite the steep prices, the café seemed bustling with...
