Cafe De O — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

HOURS: THURSDAY- TUESDAY 9 am to 6 pm, closed WEDNESDAYS. SERVES: Coffees, teas, Smoothies, a great menu of Thai food and some western food. Po&O are the kindest couple we have come across in Thailand. They are a husband and wife team that runs this awesome place! O makes DELICIOUS coffees and teas. I always get his iced green tea- add Raspberry. They get coffee from Chumphon. Po makes all the food and she is a wonderful traditional Thai food chef. My favorite is her Chicken Fried Rice. Everything is fresh and great. I have not had a bad meal or experience here. Their prices are so cheap, and the portions are large! We come here just about every day or every other day. We visited this place twice. The first time was for breakfast - it took 25 minutes to get two sandwiches. But the sandwiches were great.

The next time, I ordered chicken with cashew nuts and rice - the portion of chicken was just laughable. If you’re a man and WANT TO EAT, you’ll leave hungry. Dear owners - don’t be stingy with the meat in the portions, chicken isn’t expensive. The presentation is, of course, beautiful, but not all visitors care more about it than the dish itself. We made this our regular spot on the island, and it never disappointed. Everything we tried—from fresh smoothies and coffees to a variety of Thai dishes—was incredibly flavorful, beautifully presented, and the price-to-quality ratio is unbeatable. The small team working there is also very warm and welcoming.
