This is also the place where guests of the Santhiya Resort find their breakfast buffet. I can only comment on the latter. I had breakfast in many hotels during my life, close to retirement age now Most ofteny bookings were for professional reasons (like visiting conventions), but also privately, like right now here on Koh Pha Ngan. Such Hotels were typically 4 star or better, but in my opinion the Santhiya Breakfast Buffet beats them all, hands down. This applies to all the four times within the last ten years I stayed here for some days. In fact, nearly nothing changed since 2013, except coffee and tea is not any longer served by waiters coming to your table, offering to (re-) fill you cup. Now there are two modern coffee maker machines from which each guest her or himself may select any variation, from black espresso to cafe latte. And for tea lovers there's also hot water and an assortment of tea bags to chose from, even freshly cut pieces of lemon, for those who like to take their morning tea with some drops of lemon juice. And another thing has changed too: none of the guests any longer leave their sandals outside of the main room to walk barefooted inside. Maybe because most prefer a table on the terrasse anyways. So, also no employee any longer stands besides the entry with a pair of sticks to grab the shoes you slipped out of and turn them "back to front", so that you can easily slip in when leaving. Not that I really miss it, it's just a little unimportant but still amazing detail, which I suddenly remembered when thinking back to former visits of this place.

Large variety of food, big enough for one week, amazing fresh fruits, astonishing view, competent service staff (thank you for a lovely week and great service, Edd!), egg station a little slow. You can order additional hot breakfast (for free) via a QR code, not the nicest way, but this way it was not used a lot and went pretty fast 🙂

Verdiente 5 Sterne. Zum Frühstück: Sehr große Auswahl. Für jeden ist etwas dabei. Auch typisches thailändisches Essen steht bereit. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Location amazing, worthy of a five star resort… food and service (really really really slow) horrible, like a one star hotel. First of all I order a Leo beer and after 15 minutes the waitress says that no have Leo and so order a Chang… after 10 minutes arrives with a Singha beer. Not good like a start. We order as food: Pad Thai and other dish with beef, but on the Menu was not specified all the ingredients in the dishes, the shrimps not cleans server with their head Fried spring rolls really terrible. We had a high expectations as it is in a 5 star resort, but it was...
