Pole Pole Restaurant — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

We came here after hearing good things and so glad we did! What a TREAT.

Gorgeous rustic decor, literally 5 mins walk away from our (lovely) hotel Centara villas in a quiet part of Koh Samui island.

Absolutely wonderful delicious food- we had and highly recommend the sticky beef cakes, (think slow cooked pulled beef in a circle shape on a tamarind spicy jus) sweet potato fritters (yum), stir fried noodles with fish (somehow this deliciousness simply melted and evaporated in my mouth!) And chicken pad thai along with some classic chang beers. All our food simply disappeared into our bellies quicker than you could say Sawasdee... no time to take pix but simply encouraging you to try for yourself.

We were warmly welcomed by the staff and then the owner Martina personally came over during our time, to greet us and have a pleasant chat. Old-school impeccable personal service that you just dont find many places anymore.

Cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant. Please do go and support this independent family run business.

Not so happy is that we simply don't have enough days in Koh Samui to come back daily to try the entire mouthwatering fusion menu. Because we would. And if you can, do!

My wife and I had the pleasure of eating here last night. She had the belly pork to start and the beef burger as the main. Myself, being vegetarian, I had sweet potato fritters and the jackfruit quesadillas.

The food was lovely and my wife particularly loved the burger but she also really enjoyed her starter! My sweet potato fritters had a fantastic crunch on the outside and were perfectly soft on the inside, so they really stood out for me!

I did enjoy my quesadillas and I love being given more interesting options for vegetarian food. I'm more used to young jackfruit, which has a more neutral flavour that absorbs what its cooked in and have never had ripe jackfruit before. It was very tasty and the slightly gooey texture worked really well with the quesadillas. Being ripe fruit, I did struggle with the sweetness of them toward the end however, so I feel that they may have benefitted from something bitter or sour like lime juice or a sour dipping sauce, to offset the sweetness of the jackfruit.

That being said, overall it was a lovely evening with a beautiful, cozy restaurant, tasty food and a great value...

Simply amazing! We stayed at Centara Villas but we lived at PolePole. The menu offers an Asian fusion kitchen with creative and incredibly delicious dishes. Same goes to the home made lemonades and cocktails. Especially the Thai Mojito needs to be recommended. And we couldn't get enough of the beef croquettes, one of their signature dishes. If you reading this while looking for a place to eat, do yourself a favor and get dinner or lunch right here! You'll thank yourself^^ But PolePole has something else to offer as well: the owners of this restaurant and the Resort "PawPaw" are the friendliest and most accommodating people we could have met. Anytime we had a question or needed some assistance they told us not to worry and made sure our time on Koh Samui would become unforgettable.
