SESUN​ Grill & Beach Bar — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Nice ambience with friendly and attentive staffs! Thumps up for the service!

Sadly when it comes to food.. they did not match 🥲🥲🥲

The menu was limited, we ordered some appetisers, one fish and chips or baby, and one seafood paella. Sad to say that both tuna tartare and paella were probably the worst of their kinds I have tried in my life in term of taste…

The tuna tartare (THB460++) was bland and not cold, the pea purée was too mushy and got weird smell..

The seafood paella (THB920++) was equally bad.. rice was uncooked (def not al dente! each grain still have a hard little nugget in the Center) The chef pre-cooked, plated it on the pan and we had our waiter performed a bit more of cooking show by adding soup stock and stirred it slightly in front of us.

The chorizo was dry.. the flavour was off. Normally we tried to finish everything on the plate but for this one it was impossible even we tried our best.

The rest of the foods were edible, we were joking that the fish and chips dipping sauce tasted identical to McDonald’s fillet o fish.

Very sad to say that the star on the table was Coke light……..

We were so unsure how to feedback as we knew the chef might have tried their best… and we enjoyed the service. Hope it...

Sesun Grill & Beach Restaurant, located on the beach inside the Grand Hyatt Hotel, offers an exceptional dining experience in a prime location. The ambiance and lighting create a romantic and cozy setting, perfect for a memorable evening. The service is impressive, with staff who go above and beyond to provide attentive care and offer helpful advice.

We ordered the seafood pasta and octopus. The seafood pasta was outstanding—flavorful, slightly spicy, and enjoyable in every way. Unfortunately, the octopus was less impressive, as it was a bit chewy despite a well-prepared sauce. On a positive note, the dessert was delightful and made even more special by a captivating fire show.

After dinner, you can take a relaxing walk along the beach, making the overall experience at Sesun both tranquil and refreshing. A great spot for couples or anyone seeking a peaceful and romantic beachside...

I had an extraordinary culinary experience today at Sesun, thanks to Chef Jocobo Avigo's masterful creations

The Caprese amuse bouche was a refreshing start, followed by the crispy yellow fin tuna tartare that exploded with flavor. The Fin de Claire oysters were a true delight, but the Tiger prawns risotto al ajillo stole the show with its perfectly cooked rice and succulent prawns. The truffle mushrooms lamb loin was a heavenly dish that left me wanting more. To top it all off, the Chocolate in the woods dessert was a perfect ending to a perfect meal.

The presentation of each dish was a feast for the eyes, and the beach ambience added to the overall experience. This is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.

Kudos to Chef Jocobo Avigo and the entire team at Sesun for creating such a memorable meal.
