SO CAFE SAMUI / HQ (Headquarters) — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Nice and spacious cafe. Breakfasts here are AMAZING! The portions are huge and very tasty. Definitely worth the price (although they are not very pricey).

Why only 3 stars? We ordered matcha espresso with almond milk. We were asked how sweet it should be and we asked it to be not sweet at all, no sugar, no syrup. We got our matcha obnoxiously sweet and it was not from the almond milk that could have been sweetened, for sure. We could taste the syrup with the straw at the bottom of the glass. We complained about it and we were told that it was not sweetened they insisted that it’s from the milk. Excuse me, I know how even the sweetened almond milk tastes and for sure it wasn’t from this. We surrendered and didn’t drink it as we weren’t in the mood to argue.

I would definitely understand if you had sweetened matcha (some cafes have it already mixed with sugar) or sweetened milk but it still wouldn’t taste so sweet as our drinks have.

Sorry, but lying to your clients...

I really wanted to give them a 5 star review given that almost everything was perfect. The atmosphere, the service, but what really impresses us is the food and the coffee! The coffee is SO TASTY and AROMATIC, and their toast with scrambled eggs and thick cut bacon was HEAVENLY! Everything was 10 out of 10, except for one thing… There was way too much plastic given that we dined in. The coffee was in a plastic takeaway cup even though they knew we were dining in, every dish comes with a set of utensils that was individually wrapped in plastic wrapping. And the utensils were metal fork and knife so we don’t see the reason why every set has to be wrapped in plastic package. Hopefully the restaurant will read this review and seriously consider to reduce plastic usage and save our planet together💙 it will really really help the environment! And my experience here...

This place I visited by chance and it surprised me a lot!!! I wish we had its branch in central or northern Samui🙏🏼 The food was amazing!!! The choice is not huge, but this is the point, you don’t need lots of courses to make a place successful and high level!!! I’ve tried a pasta with cream sauce with salmon. I think I made a weird sound of satisfaction right after the first bite😅🤣 awesome!!!! Coffee and other drinks are super well done!!!

They have a huge dessert cart!!! I was recommended to try an apple crumble and I didn’t regret that🤍👍🏼

There are so many things to try for my next visit of this part of the island, looking forward!!!!!

The service is perfect!! The prices are surprisingly not hight compared to other restaurant this level in the center. Wow, I hope you keep this place alive, I’m so happy to find it...
