The Ocean Pier at The Lamai Samui — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

I’m very much an experience person when it comes to places. The quality of my experience here was superb tonight. I came on a solo dinner and sat at the furthest end of the pier, a seemingly lonely space for 1. Luckily for me, there was an amazing staff that kept me company. From the very beginning Tubtim (hostess/server) was very welcoming and escorted me to my dining area where I met Arkar (pier server) and Ken (manager). These guys were very approachable with great personalities. They were also extremely attentive, making sure to check up on me as often as they could. It’s about 250 meters from the kitchen to my seat on the water and these guys were doing laps like nobody’s business. Even the food runner Game made a few trips out to my table. All with a smile and great spirit. The food was chef’s kiss. I had Western 3 course dinner set, which comes with the chicken Caesar’s salad for starters, the sea bass on a bed of mashed potatoes with steamed broccoli and vegetables for an entree and chocolate fondant for desert. It was a meal well worth having on the pier. Add the view and it made for a virtually perfect evening. I made the reservation for the view alone, not expecting much else but the staff definitely left a lasting impression on me. It’s safe to say that my friend group in Thailand just got a little bit bigger. Special thanks to Tub Tim - hostess/server, Game - server, Ken - manager, Pan - bar, Arkar - pier, Aor - cashier....

Very unique venue for dining in Koh Samui. Good food, tasty dishes, excellent services and very exceptional atmosphere with floating pier extended over the Gulf of Thailand. I highly recommend this restaurant for any romantic couples and special occasions! Ocean Pier is definitely one on my favorite restaurants...
