Tropikana Beach Bistro — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

A Beautiful, sleek, sophisticated spot with jaw dropping views .. A well run polished team, obviously due to the Management who knows how to treat his staff.. we found the Tropikana by walking along the beach and it looked very inviting.. We were not disappointed, As soon as we arrived we were treated like precious jewels.. All of the staff on duty made a huge effort to have a chat and welcome us.. So refreshing to see the interaction with customers which did not look forced or pushy.. we enjoyed a delicious iced coffee and then returned in the evening for cocktails and snacks. Prices very reasonable and the food we ordered very stylishly presented. I should add staff were very ‘covid conscious’ which at this point in time is very important to us. This place is a gem.. If you don’t stop in , you will not know what your missing. Mike the manager is made for the hospitality industry ..He is a breath...

We spent 4 days in Prana Resort and had lunch at Tropikana all 4 days as it was only across the road, and a private dinner on the beach one evening which was amazing. The pool is stunning and bathrooms are spotless and so luxurious.

A little on the expensive side but it is expected at a beach club/resort. Our waiter Billy was so lovely too.

Loved the food, the only thing I will say is when we ordered a salami pizza we got a pizza with a lot more toppings than just salami, but it wasn’t a big deal we just removed the toppings we didn’t want.

The manager, sorry I didn’t get your name, was so helpful and obliging. During our dinner on the beach he continuously topped up our drinks and we were never left waiting with empty plates in front of us. The staff put so much effort into setting up our beautiful private dinner.

A nice place with excellent food, good service and you can enjoy the view with a cool drink... now a little bit more expensive than at the covid time.

Update 2025 We went here after 3 years for Dinner. A lot has changed in terms of equipment. New roof of the terrace with fans, lots of light and altogether , a good ambience. 👍🏻 The service staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. The price of the food and drink is not cheap, but it's okay, if you look at it as an overall package. A little criticism is allowed... the recipe of the fishcake (starter) would apparently be changed. It tasted much better years ago, than it does now... (dry and tasteless) I wouldn't order it anymore! If you want to have a nice evening, you can...
