Upmarket place for tourists, I was afraid they would pull punches on the food, but I was pleasantly surprised.
We ate mostly at proper local places like Dang Seafood and Jae Gloy; this place had the benefit of a super comfortable and aesthetic environment (instead of road pollution at those other places), but still had pretty authentic thai food. We had a very good fish salad and a herbal pork soup.
Visit those other places first if you want the best thai food on the island; but once you're tired of the smell of petrol engines and cigarettes don't be afraid to give this place a try, it isn't just sanitised...

They conveniently didn't understand when we asked for a side salad with our meal and brought out a massive salad which they charged us loads for. A western woman had to come into the restaurant from the eating area outside to get service because they'd been sitting for a significant time and hadn't been attended to. Read moreI would give this place 3 star as of the following reasons: We ordered seafood worth 850 baht but got only plater in small size *see pictures. Imagine 🥲 in the 5 star hotel we stayed at, they sell this portion of seafood for half that price. Good thing is they refund us for this and they understand that the price is so unreasonable. One star for that Additional 1 star for the drinks, it taste so good! We would’ve ordered more if not only for the seafood plater… as the bartender did an awesome job. I would be very happy to pay… as long as it’s worth...
