When we arrived after about an eight-hour trip from Bangkok, the boss at the front desk did not even greet us. The restaurant closed before 6 p.m. and was never open for the following three days. One day, when I came back from the beach, I had my towel with me. The scowling manager jumped up from her chair in the common area and complained that towels can't be brought to the beach, though nothing is posted or mentioned about that. When I went to the room to get the two older glass water bottles, and replaced them with cold ones from the fridge in the common area, she again complained in a very aggressive, ugly manner, as if I had done something wrong. It was 90-some degrees, Fahrenheit, and that water is for the guests. She was so rude that I challenged her for her totally inhospitable treatment since I had checked in. She started swearing, saying "I don't give a f___!" A very nice young Indian couple that was sitting nearby in a calm voice supported me, saying to her and to me that she'd treated them and one other guest really badly, as well. This made the foul owner turn against them, swearing at them and telling them that they had to leave her bungalows joint, though they'd prepaid for two weeks. She also threatened to kick me out, but changed her mind. The Indian couple got a refund and found a much better place for the same price. Two other points: In the bathroom, the toilet seat is not even connected to the toilet. It slips and slides. A person sitting on it could easily get injured. And there's no screen in the bathroom covering a large opening to the outside, so mosquitos and other insects and geckos get into that room and the bedroom with the rock-hard "bed" all the time. How much would it cost to put up screens so as to protect the guests? This was one of the very worst experiences I've had in my decades of travel to 35 countries. I have never encountered a more nasty owner. Absolutely avoid this place like the...
Read moreI just tried to park my car to buy a smoothie to go. Then, as soon as I got out of my car, the farang owner came out and told to not park my car in the front the shop. Because the shop front is about space for motorbikes so the half of my car at the road. Neither the middle of or blocking the road since the half of the car on off the road 😊I told him I would move my car while I wait for my smoothie for takeout. However, they charge is 120baht for avocado 🥑 smoothie so I left. I found tasty avocado smoothie around corner (“Chill Out”) at 80baht 😊 FYI: Now is September during the slowest season and it’s rainy afternoon around 3pm on Weekday. There are few tourists and traffic are no existent.
Response to the owner reply -
I am Farang as well so it’s ok 😃. Why didn’t you kindly tell where the “public parking” is today?? I didn’t see any sigh of public parking except hotel parking. May I ask how long it would take to make your take-out quality smoothie when no customers??
Since you are concerned with my well being, I hope you as a business owner can succeed with your attitude 😊 By the way, your shop negative reviews mentioned your attitude towards your customers as well if you...
Read moreWhen we moved into our bungalow, we noticed rat droppings on the bed and rat urine on the floor. During the night, we could hear those animals in and around our bungalow. They likely could easily enter through the door gap between the door and the floor.
When we checked out in the following days, I found that my bag had been urinated on by rats in the past days.
The lady at the reception seemed unmotivated during our stay and somewhat unfriendly in communication. While everyone has better and worse days, this shouldn't be so evident in customer service.
The boutique next door sells some beautiful items, but mostly, it seems to offer goods commonly found in many tourist shops—cheap Chinese items.
As we had to leave early on the last day, we ordered a takeaway breakfast. Despite multiple reminders, we received it late, causing us additional stress.
The price is not justified for what we received. Also, I believe there are several better alternatives, some of which might even be cheaper. Overall, it was a rather poor...
