Goodview Resort and Coffee — Restaurant in Trat Province

Tucked up on a hill overlooking Khlong Chao Beach, Good View lives up to its name. It’s a simple, no-frills spot with a lovely view over the bay—easily one of the nicest vantage points on Koh Kood. This is a review of the restaurant there.

The menu offers a mix of Thai dishes and a few Western options. I had a club sandwich and the signature mango smoothie, and both definitely hit the spot. Might’ve been the heat and hunger talking, but the mango smoothie was one of the best I’ve had in Thailand—cold, fresh, and exactly what I needed. The club sandwich was excellent too: big, tasty, and well made.

It’s not fancy, but that’s part of the charm. A great place to relax, catch the breeze, and soak up the view. If you’re nearby or just want a break from resort food, it’s well worth the short trek up the hill.

I came there spontanously and they luckily had a room free. The name does match. It is really a very nice view. I also checked out the restuarant and massage. Both were very good. I can confrim, that the personal is not that actively, but that depends on the missing english skills. If you ask for help you get it. They were always friendly to me. The only thing where improvement needs to be done is in the rooms itself. They definitely needs to get renovated. I don't even hat the chance to dry clothes, because the part on the terrasse with the dryer was destroyed. For 2 days was it okay, but I could not stay there long time with...

Great place with a genuinely good view. Room was fine if a little rustic but that's what you expect when you stay on this island. A couple of motorbike hire places nearby so you can get transport easily enough. There's stairs down to the beach which is literally two minutes away because you're at the top of the cliff with a good view!

Breakfast is fine and we had it included. Good for evening meals as well, mainly Thai but if you want pizza or something similar then ten minutes walk or two minutes drive away there are choices. Good location to explore the island from. If I return I'll use them again if...
