We are absolutely delighted with our experience at Koh Kood Mermaid Restaurant & Café! The place is beautifully designed with a lovely, welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The owners themselves work in the restaurant, and their warm, friendly manner truly adds a personal and heartfelt touch to the whole experience.
The service is excellent — attentive, fast, and always with a smile. But what impressed us the most was the food: every single dish was outstanding! The pizzas are a real highlight — an explosion of flavor and easily among the best we’ve ever had in Thailand. The Thai dishes, whether flavorful curries or stir-fried classics like Pad Kra Pao, are cooked to perfection and full of authentic taste.
Even the house wines are excellent and pair wonderfully with the dishes. It’s clear that a lot of love and attention goes into every detail here.

Read moreWhen we moved into our bungalow, we noticed rat droppings on the bed and rat urine on the floor. During the night, we could hear those animals in and around our bungalow. They likely could easily enter through the door gap between the door and the floor.
When we checked out in the following days, I found that my bag had been urinated on by rats in the past days.
The lady at the reception seemed unmotivated during our stay and somewhat unfriendly in communication. While everyone has better and worse days, this shouldn't be so evident in customer service.
The boutique next door sells some beautiful items, but mostly, it seems to offer goods commonly found in many tourist shops—cheap Chinese items.
As we had to leave early on the last day, we ordered a takeaway breakfast. Despite multiple reminders, we received it late, causing us additional stress.

Read moreThe owner lacks a customer centric approach. When an issue with the food or order is mentioned, the owner will blame the customer and create a scene. Her lack of respect for customers and inability to accept feedback is evident in her replies to all the negative reviews people have left on Google maps for the 2 mermaid businesses (blaming the customer, having illogical excuses for the issues they experienced, calling people cheap).
I'd highly recommend she gets someone else to manage this business.
