SOME MAO — Restaurant in Trat Province

Came here with my girlfriend after spending a morning at White Sand beach, and it was totally worth it. Got here at around 1 and ordered smoothies, and got them pretty quickly. They weren't anything special, and I wouldn't order mine again (banana smoothie).

We then ordered our entrees, which consisted of a pineapple curry (and we ordered a serving of rice for the curry) and a pad see ew dish, and came across our only gripe with the restaurant: the slow service.

We were initially served something different (stir fry dish) than the pineapple curry we had ordered, and asked for it to be re-made. We had already waited a long time (25 mins) for our first food, and 40 mins passed before both dishes were on our table.

But when the food was ready, it was great. Highly recommend both dishes we ordered. Plus, the quality for the price (we paid about 200-250 Baht a person) was very high, and the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was excellent. Good place to check out for lunch, and make sure they've got a decent number of staff on-hand...

Really nice food but thought they could scam me because I’d had a few drinks. Only came out with 1000 Bhat notes. Paid 3000 Bhat for a 2460 Bhat meal. Would have left at least a 300 Bhat tip. Came back with 40 Bhat change. Explained I’d left 3000 Bhat and they assured me I’d left 2500 Bhat and showed me a video of me leaving 3 x 1000 Bhat notes but one of the notes going into a different tray in the till. Shame as I was having a good night. My daughter also picked up that as soon as they took the money to the till they looked back to check...

After two days of disappointing dinners, we finally found a remarkable place where everything was just nice! We went up to sit at the patio where we enjoyed a nice view if surroundings. Menu was very comprehensive and the waitress was kind to advise that we are ordering too much already! We settled wt tom yam in coconut soup, fried sea bass in tamarind sauce and sauteed asparagus wt squid. And guess what…we did a 2km walk to burn away the calories but could not resist coming back to order their legendary...
