THE DECK BAR KOH KOOD — Restaurant in Trat Province

I’m not used to write not 5 stars review but this time I have to with the hoping the manager of this amazing place can do something better in the future!

The location is just amazing!There’s a big terrace full of comfy chair and table with a sea view perfect for a sunset time. We asked for a Aperol Spritz but the wine was finish (can happen in a island in the middle of nowhere and without supermarket!), then we asked for a Passion fruit mojito and the answer was “sorry we don’t have passion fruit syrup” a bit weird considering there are fresh passion fruit on every shop of the island so I was expecting they were using the fruit and not the syrup!!! At the end we order 3 cocktail (promotion take 3 and pay 2) Moscow Mule + Mojito + watermelon mojito. Well, here the BAD point: no one of these cocktails were prepared in the right way and with the right spirits!!!!!! It’s a very nice place, comfy and cool, polite and lovely staff but they should invest more in the bar tender or at least in the quality of the drinks! If I’m paying 200 baht for a drink I’d like to have what I ordered otherwise I can easily drink a Chang. So please, pay less attention about the decorations of the glass and more about the quality of the ingredients and please, Use fresh fruit from the island instead of sugary syrup and you’ll have my 5 stars with plus next...

Well at first, it was a wow effect when we arrived at this place, because it looks amazing. A big, comfortable place with a comfy atmosphere right on the beautiful beach. But then we sat down and waited the service for 15 minutes, nobody came and we didn't even get the menus. We went to the bar to make an order and then waited for 2 smoothies another 15 minutes. I don't know, was it to early for the staff at noon maybe? Also had to find the staff around when paying. Everyone was just walking around doing nothing, so this left a bitter taste and we decided to skip the food, even though we wanted to order lunch. The location and the exterior was undefeateable 5, but the service is barely 2. Sadly, because the place has so much potential. Maybe we'll give them another chance to change our experience overall. It was a mess that night. the management of big restaurants could be done better. It should be serving drinks in order.

We had four people. My bf and I ordered two cocktails first, restaurant forgot our two drinks then we asked again for those two. Our two friends then ordered another cocktail and mocktail. When the drinks came, We haven’t had the right drink because it didn’t come in order, It messed up serving a cocktail of second order and a cocktail of first order which we understood that it was from the second order of friend.
