Most unfriendly, grumpy and inattentive staff for a falang priced restaurant so far in Thailand. Breakfast menu with jam and slices of cheese comes with 1 very small and cheap roll despite having bigger ones for sell, moreover, staff misunderstood the order then wanted to bring 4 meals for 2 adultes and 1 infant... after nasty discussions then bring 2 big mugs of (watery) coffee with 1 small amount of milk even knowing that clients wanted lots of milk. After ordering 2 times a little bit more milk and being ignored offensively then client had to do a run and begging for milk at the older lady who hesitated but finally gave another tiny amount of milk not forgetting to add a grumpy face. Not one time the staff was seen to give any smile to customers. When paid the older lady grabbed the money like only bankrobbers used to do, again without opening the mouth or changing her facial muscles. Oh, and I couldn't find a readonable excuse for them of having had a hard day or too many customers. Avoid this place you can easily...
Read moreDisappointing I have to say everything about this place disappointed me. The food and the customers. I ordered Tom Yum Goong (prawns) and was not impressed. It was watery and bland. It had an overly red colour and just didn't look like or more importantly taste like what Tom Yum should taste like in Thailand. There were a lot of prawns but they were tiny. My suspicion is that this place caters for the western palate. And there's nothing wrong with that if that's what you like. The place was full of foreigners ( farrangs as Thai's call them) and I didn't like that. Not because I don't like foreigners, but because when I'm in Thailand I like to immerse myself in they're culture and food. Sitting there eating a western interpretation of Thai food with lots of foreigner customers I felt like I was back in my country. Not enjoyable on any level. I thought the staff could have been more friendly. This place is not for me or people like me. But it's probably perfect for first time visitors that...
Read moreThe good corner never disappoints. Over the recent years I have been multiple times to Udon Thani and I always find time to drop by the good corner for a decent breakfast. Food is good and despite it is a little bit more expensive than the average of Udon, it is still worth it. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. The only drawback with this restaurant is, as I see it, the noisy from all the vehicles running up and down the busy road next...
