100 East – Bangkok

Had breakfast at 100 East during my stay and honestly it was well below par. The food choices were extremely limited and most of the vegetarian hot dishes were undercooked. The live egg station was probably the only part that felt fresh and worth going to.

There were no alternative milk options like almond or oat, which was surprising for a hotel restaurant. The soups weren’t hot — more like warm at best — and didn’t seem freshly made. The breads also tasted a bit stale, as if they hadn’t been changed in a while.

The tea situation wasn’t great either; the tea bags were just left sitting in a big pot, so the tea turned dark and bitter. At one point I even wondered if the chef was on vacation because the overall attention to quality just wasn’t there.
