I am very unpleasead, unsatusfied and disappointed by the wine tasting dinner event I had in Zoom sky bar.
First, when I arrived the reception ladies told me the different price how they explained it included tax. Money isnât a problem, I can pay, but itâs not acceptable and it is not correct, to say the wrong price to the client. You need to state originally a correct price in an event promotion, so a client knows from the beginning. Next, when I was brought to the bar itself the lady explained that there were stations with food and wine and if I wanted something âI need to bring by myselfâ. Seriously?! I was shocked when she said that. Finally the waitress understood that it wasnât correct and tried to solve the situation and became attentive and brought me what I wanted.
Then, when I chose the table and asked if I could sit there (there was no sign reserved or no people), the waiter gave me a menu with food. I asked if it was the food from the eveningâs event. He said no and wanted to bring me to show the food. But I already saw it! He said that I couldnât sit on that place and needed to change. The communication with him was very poor. He seemed not to understand English even though I repeated several times very slow. Finally he allowed me to sit where I wanted. But he even didnât bring me tissues and a napkin which is The first thing he needed to do!
The food was not enough and tasteless. I specially didnât have dinner to expect to eat at the event, but I was left hungry. The meat that I wanted to try was already finished after 8 and when I asked would it be more meat later, the waiters promised to check but, they didnât check and tell me anything. I am a snails lover and I know how they should be cooked and how they should look like but what I got as âsnailsâlooked as bread balls with a little snail inside. No garlic souce nothing...I expected to have normal beef but I got just a tin tasting tiny piece of something. So I had to eat sandwiches instead which is totally unhealthy for the evening dinner.
And the most important!
The full concept of the evening âwine tastingâ was wrong and was not what I expected to get! Wine tasting means there is a host of the evening who introduces every wine sort to the guests, explains its structure and taste, then the guests can smell the wine to guess its ingredients, Then they can sip a bit again to try to guess the ingredients and see by a color if the wine is old, middle or young. Then the guests All Together share their notes with each other and the host. Then the host introduces food and waiters help to bring dishes to clients. Wine tasting is Always a prepared cultural event! Often with a video introduction! Not just people coming and drinking by Themselves! When I was asking that to waiters non of them could tell me anything.
I wanted to say that I want my money back but itâs not about the money! But about that I waisted my time and I had a bad mood and bad...
Read morePricy compared with what you get. We ordered lychee&rose martini, gin tonic and another one I could not remember its name. It was pink one in highball glass with mint leave on top. 3 of us with 4 drinks cost THB 1,900.
Lychee&rose martini was good but the rest were not. They were very weak. Honestly we feel like we drank sweet drinks with no alcohol.
Many items on menu were not available as some ingredient was out of stock.
Service was not bad. When we were there, only 5 guests with 1 hostess and bartender. I saw another staff came to greet us when bar was about to close.
This bar is on the rooftop of hotel. When we arrived at hotel lobby. No one there (staff), no AC but some lights were on. As my friend has ever been here before so we knew how to get to the rooftop.
Everywhere we passed by, no staff. Restaurant was full set up but no staff stand by. We almost changed our mind to go somewhere else as this place was not jolly at all. However we thought that we would see the roof top first to determine that we would end up to sit here or go somewhere.
Atmosphere along the way to rooftop seem to be abandoned. We reached rooftop and finally we saw hostess. As I mentioned above that there were just a few guests, place was not lively. No entertainment just music (not live music). View was ok. It is the view that you could see from high floor of building.
When we finished our drinks and came back to hotel lobby. We still could not see any staff in restaurant but 2 staff at hotel lobby. We waited for our car at lobby with no attention from staff. We waited at lobby around 5 mins and not even once that staff would pay attention to us who was only 1 group that presented at lobby that time. It was weird for 5 star hotel front desk service.
I would say that FB staff there was so much friendly that...
Read moreWe visited this skybar yesterday. We did not expect anything good about the food, the online pictures already gave us a bad feeling. Specially when I saw how they make Carbonara⌠anyway we did order 2 mojitos which tasted like water and lime. 1 fried mix of French fries, onion and something like chips with shrimps, and we were shocked nothing tasted good, so I am wondering how they can provide some food at that high price if it is tasteless. The only beautiful thing was the view. The service was terrible there were 2 ppl who welcomed us the lady was nice she did ask us if we wanted to dine or only drinking. I answered this will depends on the menu, so the other guy told us ok then check the menu first and then we give you the seat. I understood he did this because based on how much you are willing to spend they give you a better seat. Anyway the lady told him something in Thai, it seemed she said something like â let them seat and then decide â so I did not like his behaviour but at least the lady was nice. Also when they served the drinks one guy was speaking about my gf and we noticed it because he indicated my gf and then they laughed. Plus they did not even talk to me once but only to my gf. Which made her feel so uncomfortable, she asked me to eat and leave. I think as a skybar full of tourist they should be used to foreigners. Anyway if I were you I would not visit this...
