We stayed here for 3 nights rooms were ok.Most of the staff were very friendly. The down side of this pub was on wednesday 2nd september. We had reserved a table in the resturant for 20.15 pm. We got back from seahouses a few hours earlier than our meal reservation, and decided after a very enjoyable day we would have a few drinks in the place we were staying.to chill out. We were sitting having a few drinks in the bar at a table that was Not Reserved ,waiting till we could go in to the restaurant for our meal. We had spend up till then around £300 that was including our room for 3 nights. We were having a nice time chilling until a member of the staff I think she might have been in charge ? with the way she seemed to boss some of the staff around. She came over to our table and asked us to stand at the bar as she needed our table for another couple who wanted a meal? We got up and stood at the bar were I told the young bar tender that we were not happy the way she had treated us.It wasn't his fault all he could say that he was sorry for what happen and did I want to see the manager. By this time we were very up set with the way we had been treated by this female staff we cancelled our meal. By the way we would have spent a lot on this steak meal and wine for a special occasion so yous lost £150 . To be treated like this is wrong of you at the Market Tavern ,please get staff to respect your clients that have book rooms and ordered meals.To be moved off the table they are sittig at to give it away to someone else . This member of staff needs to get her act together done know who she thinks she is . We are all in the same boat at this time .By the way I have a disable with my legs and found it hard to stand at your bar counter that we thought that it wasnt allowed
