Alnwick Flame — Restaurant in Alnwick

Have used Alnwick Flame for good number of years now. Last two orders over the last three weeks have been wrong. First was a Hawaiian Pizza which, after collection, and getting home, was a ham & mushroom. (not the end of the world) The second annoyance occurred yesterday (25.07.2020) - ordered another Hawaiian Pizza and a Chicken Special pizza - both 10”. Even politely reminded staff on ordering about the previous mistake. I worked out the price of both pizza to be £13.30 - l even checked each box whilst still in the takeaway to see if they were correct - they looked what I’d ordered 🤔 - the cost was £15 and not £13.30 so l presumed l had ordered off an old menu. Got home (8 miles away) open the pizzas to find they were both in fact 12” pizzas - hence the increase in cost and the Chicken Special was actually just the chicken & sweetcorn. Don’t get me wrong - the food is well prepared and tasty - BUT - come on guys - get your act together - l know you’re busy on a Saturday night but the devil is basically in the detail. Probably give Pizza Royal , next door, a try next time l order and see if they come up with my choice and...

We went on a family holiday a couple of months back and one of our nights we decided to get a takeaway. We went for this establishment because there wasn’t many options and they had a large menu to cater for everyone, offering pizzas, burgers, kebabs, wraps and more. I ended up going with a margarita pizza and cheesy bolognese chips. Despite the large order, it was ready for collection relatively quickly. I got a 12 inch pizza which was £9 which is not bad value, but was it any good? nah not really. It was a standard ‘chippy’ pizza and nothing to write home about. I had never had bolognese cheesy chips before which is what made me go for it. Unfortunately it was very forgettable. The chips were soggy and the bolognese didn’t have much depth in flavour. Ive been in cramlington hospital all day hooked up to a drip, pooing blood and having all sorts of tests done. Turns out i have gastroenteritis as a result of the food poisoning i recieved from these scruffy horrible people. Used to be my go to kebab shop. On Tuesday night I got a mixed kebab which was absolutely disgusting. Lamb kofte was clearly off, the garlic sauce was fizzy and the pitta bread reminded me of the loaf of bread from about a boy. Rock hard. Will never return here again and I'm going to report this to the council as I work in the food and hospitality industry and this is just a no go. Avoid if you...
