We spent a wonderful rainy afternoon in this locally set up and run quaint little museum. We were made very welcome by the volunteer at the entrance.
The ground floor charts Alnwickâs history through interesting and interactive displays for both children and adults.
The first floor houses regularly changing exhibitions. The theme was childhood for our visit which was imaginatively curated, again with plenty of interaction for people of all ages.
The volunteers have clearly worked very hard to ensure children are included throughout the museum - they are encouraged to touch and play with objects and to draw and dress up. To be honest we three very senior visitors enjoyed the quizzes and dressing up! Donât miss this little...

The regular exhibition, 10,000 years of human occupation and wars across the borders (both North and South) is well laid out with lots of exhibits / facsimiles and good, informative descriptions.
