we stopped off at this restaurant in carthage with the most beautiful views. for lunch we ordered spaghetti bolognese and ravioli with a side of fries, which came with complimentary nibbles (as always in tunisia). nibbles: we were served bread with olives and dips. the dips included a tomato salsa, olive oil, and the traditional tunisian harissa dip. the tomato salsa and harissa dip were both delicious with the bread. this was a lovely start to the meal. spaghetti bolognese: this bolognese was okay. the sauce was quite minimal, with even less meat. it still tasted nice, however was not the meaty tomatoey bolognese i go for. the size of this portion was great, just the right size. i just wish there had been more sauce. ravioli: the ravioli was lovely. filled with beef and smothered in tomato sauce, this was the perfect little plate. the cheese that it was served with could have been a little different, perhaps parmesan instead of cheddar, but it was still very nice. the size of the portion could have been a little bigger, but it was still a good size. i would happily have this again. the view from this sea front restaurant was absolutely incredible (take a look at my reels for the videos). the service here was quick and the staff were so friendly. i’d love to come back here and try the seafood here as it looks very nice. i’d definitely want to come back to this restaurant, and would recommend it to anyone visiting carthage, ever just for a drink, to enjoy the beautiful view!

We tripped across this restaurant while we were in Carthage. The situation is perfect right on top of the sea with a good amount of shade. We had the set dinner of 3 courses for 36TND and a bottle of the local rose 45TND which was brought up in an ice bucket .Very good value with bread and crudités brought to start. We were served quickly and promptly by the waiters. The service could do with being more friendly and they only take cash. The setting is fabulous the food is tasty well presented and reasonable.

DANGEREUX. Un endroit à éviter. La vue est magnifique, la nourriture très basique, le service, d'une autre époque mais surtout la vétusté de l'établissement en fait un endroit DANGEREUX. Nous étions en train de déjeuner, quand la pergola nous est tombée sur la tête. Heureusement, pas d'enfants avec nous, mais j'ai reçu tout de même le cadre en bois sur le crâne, ce qui m'a valu d'être un peu "sonné". En y regardant de plus près, toute la pergola est dans un état lamentable, cumulant les réparations de bonne fortune. Le tout est proche de la ruine, ce qui peut mettre en danger les clients. Le patron de l'établissement s'est caché dans son bureau pendant l'incident au lieu de venir nous voir pour, au moins, savoir si nous n'étions pas blessés. Une gestion catastrophique. Lieu à éviter donc, le temps qu'ils rénovent pour accueillir les clients en toute sécurité.

If you want to step into a time machine and be in one of those 1980s soviet Russia (Hollywood depiction) Restaurant experience all with the waiters with the unfitted Wes Anderson fashion choice then this is your spot, and only sad thing is that it has an amazing view and location, so bad it’s going to waste. Top candidate for the next depressing (grand hotel Budapest)...
