Poisson D'argent — Restaurant in Tunis

The food was good and service was relatively quick. Our server seemed distracted whenever I tried to get his attention but once I did he worked well with my limited French to get us what was needed. The dishes are good portions and before we ordered they brought out a nice spread of bread and accompaniments which turned out to be free of charge. We only ended up here because the restaurant next door had just closed. I’m not mad at that we accidentally discovered this place. The red fish and rice were amazing and full of flavor. Yes they accept card payment. They’re largest area for improvement is the restrooms. Someone had vomited all over the womens room floor and despite the strong smell (God knows how long it sat there) it was not handled until I told someone. I couldn’t use the mens because it was very dirty as well. I had to start my meal on a very uncomfortable full bladder until they cleaned it up. That’s the biggest thing that dampened my experience. Un bon resto populaire, juste au bord de la mer, avec une carte simple, un service simple, une ambiance simple. Bref, le cadre parfait pour un repas de poisson d'un dimanche sur la mer. Les grands écrans transmettaient en continu des matchs de foot, véritable passion populaire en Tunisie. Le gris tunisien, un rosé local à 11%, accompagnait bien les salades typiques, les briques de thon parfaitement croustillantes, et les plats de mer qu'on a pris.
