The Hunger Gayrettepe — Restaurant in Şişli

Huge portions, great fast customer service, best dessert!

Second time at The Hunger but in Istanbul this time and it didn't disappoint.

We ordered the delicatessen pizza, grilled tenderloin with eggplant and yoghurt, couples snack burger combo and the profiterole with almonds.

Everything came out hot and fresh. For a mixed fusion type restaurant, the food has a hint of Turkey's flavours in there.

The burgers lay on a bed of runny cheddar cheese and were so tender. The bread soft and perfectly toasted on the outside.

The tenderloin was cooked just a little over medium but was soft and juicy.

The pizza was loaded with deli meats and had the overpowering sucuk flsvour throughout. We love sucuk so it was amazing.

When the profiteroles came out, we were so full already but we devoured the 5 profiteroles that were covered in both milk and white chocolate.

The two gentleman that were serving us were absolutely wonderful and so friendly. The younger wait staff was constantly checking in with us and the manager came and asked us if we had any feedback about the food.

If nothing else, the desserts that walked passed out tables, and the experience we had with the profiteroles, was incredible. We recommne you come to The Hunger and try the desserts. Truly Wow!

Excellent service here... Although (fortunately) some of our family are turkish speakers. (but they do have one very efficient gentleman server who speaks english well enough). I work in the restaurant trade.. The burgers here are delicious, as is their american style coffee. Some of my party were delayed: the gentleman server (who efficiently served at least 10 in our party the previous night) remembered me, allowing me to wait for my party to arrive. Highly recommended (if you're looking for american style dining). One waitress lets the side down here, but overall a five star service, situated in a nice "elevated" location. Service is acceptable, all waiters were serving good. But ffor the food, difficult even for me to give 6,5 out of 10 ... everything is fresh, clean, but somehow spices are sooo less than i expected, result is foods become tasteless, not even meet the food's name. We ate teriyaki chicken and also chicken noodles ... really different taste with the other THE HUNGER we have tried before. And one more thing, the noise of the coffee machine, chiller and more things from kitchen is barely share to customer's table, a bit annoying and become unnacceptable. Hope with this comment they could find the solution for this, so customer will not...
