I’m a regular customer here and usually love this place. But today was the first time I tried the matcha milkshake, and honestly… what a disappointment.
They served it in a small water glass !!!! yes, a water glass !!!with a paper straw, for 450 TL (around €11). For that price, I was expecting something much more refined and generous. I don’t mind paying more …I’d gladly pay even double, but only if the quality matches the price and I’m treated with respect.
To make things worse, around 6:40 PM, one of the staff members (a woman with a black bob haircut) rudely told us to leave. The café closes at 7:00 PM, so we still had time, and there are many ways to communicate politely with customers. A simple “Sorry, we’re closing soon” would’ve been enough. But her tone was cold and careless no greeting, no smile, just “We’re closing, you need to leave.”
And just to be clear: she was the only one acting like that. The rest of the staff were kind and welcoming, as usual. She’s the one who just walked out a few moments ago, so I hope the team sees this and takes it seriously.
I normally don’t write reviews, but this experience was too frustrating to stay silent. The prices are high, and that’s fine — but respect, service, and quality should...
Read moreEdit: went back a second time. Sound level is lower which is an improvement. The çilbir with minced meat just wasn’t all that and I found that the flavour and service doesn’t justify the price. Checked out the baked goods again and wasn’t enticed to try them.
I got really ticked off when I asked the server for hot sauce and she just disappeared then kept on serving customers.
Original review: Love the place and the mix between industrial and French classic cafe style. They have a seasonal menu and lots of baked goods and fresh tarts, puddings, etc.
We got the Royale on brioche, egg sandwich and the çilbir with sourdough. I also got a mocha.
Prices were really high but the food was really good.
I also expected more roe on the dish for the price. There was hardly any. The mocha needed an extra shot as it was verging on becoming a hot chocolate.
I was surprised that lots of dishes contained pork bacon but there was no option to replace for beef bacon. 🤔
The atmosphere was comfortable but the music was way too loud and gave me and my friends a slight headache even though I loved the music they were playing. I think they should play it a bit lower but they might be trying to cover up the sound of the kitchen.

Read moreThis cafe is beautifully designed with a fantastic ambience, which my partner absolutely loves. The setting is spacious and inviting, and the music adds to a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Their baked goods and plates are excellent, and the overall quality of food and drinks is undeniably high.
However, as someone who prefers decaf options or beverages with minimal caffeine, I find their menu lacking in this regard. They have a strong offering for caffeine lovers, but their selection of caffeine-free drinks is very limited—no decaf teas and just a few juices. Even the low-caffeine options don’t quite hit the mark for me.
While I appreciate their attention to quality, the absence of key decaf options detracts from the overall experience. For me, it’s a 3 out of 5. My partner, who values the ambience and doesn’t share my caffeine-free preferences, would likely give it a 4.5 out of 5. She would give it a 5 out of 5, but the expense is a mismatch to the venue.
If you’re a fan of great coffee, beautifully presented food, and a lovely atmosphere, this place is a solid choice. But for those looking for more decaf-friendly options, it might leave...
