Minoa Akaretler — Restaurant in Beşiktaş

Such great reviews brought me to this place. I was so happy walking into the place but I was greeted by a very unfriendly staff who despite having several empty tables refused to accommodate two of us as we were told the tables are reserved. It was not mentioned anywhere that you need a reservation especially because it was a coffee shop. I have never reserved a table at a coffee shop. The least the staff could have done was to give us a seat in one of the many empty tables instead we were asked to just wait around in the middle of the place. The beautiful place suddenly turned into a place with extremely bad energy despite which we waited for five minutes and another table got free where the staff instantly placed a reserved card and when asked we were again told it’s reserved. It was beyond believe the uncurt behaviour. It seemed they don’t care about guests now cause they are popular. It’s tough to get popular but tougher stay popular and this behaviour will definitely not go down well with newer people who wil come in. I hope the note brings about a change in this place. I wil never return but I hope whoever else goes there doesn’t experience...

I used to love come here since 2022, but the last 2 times were not good at all.

I got twice milk instead my coffee, even though I said I am intolerant & asked for almond milk. I even asked the server if he is sure it’s not normal milk. And instead of being honest he said yes. Lucky me I can taste it quickly, but even one sip makes my belly to turn upside down. This proves other reviews of the disinterest of serving properly. In total we were 2-4 tables during my stay.

For the food I asked if the beef are pieces and he said yes, but I got pulled beef. Which I did not asked for. The other service women helped me as my food was cold as well, which was not marked in the menu as a cold dish or anything. She was definitely not nice with her attitude and not in the mood of working.

Just to clear here, all ordering and communication was in Turkish. Just writing the review in English.

Spending this amount of money for food, which does not come up with the expectations set through the menu is just not okey.

The service needs to get better, asap.

The book shop is...

I recently visited this charming café with two friends for breakfast. The menu was impressive, and we particularly enjoyed the Mozzarella cheese sandwiches—they were delicious. However, while the food was good, the overall experience left much to be desired.

Despite the shop's beautiful ambiance, the quality of the furniture could be improved. Unfortunately, we were not welcomed upon arrival, nor were we seated or guided by the staff. We had to request a broken chair to be replaced, ask for menus, and even ask for clean plates for our pancakes after we had breakfast.

Additionally, an electrical outage caused a delay in getting our bill, which could have been handled more efficiently if the staff hadn’t been preoccupied chatting and eating by the door. It was not good that we had to be the first to say goodbye as we left.

This café has a lot of potential, but it could greatly benefit from more attentive service and a few improvements...
