Taps Bebek — Restaurant in Beşiktaş

April 2024 Update: We probably spent about 300 USD in there and towards the end of the meal and beers, they wanted to kick us out because we complained that there were too many people smoking indoors and no windows were being opened...one of my friends told a guy who was smoking not to close the window and minutes after, the waiters came and told us we were being "too loud" in a beer bar...anyways, not going back to this place ever again, especially since one of my other friends in the group also said that this was the second time at this place that he was asked to lower his voice-this is a a BAR folks! If you want people to be quiet, then open a library or book store. Update: This time, the food was way much better! We had the beef nachos, and those were really tasty. The fried corn starter was superb!! The craft beer they have was really good. Old comment: The food wasn't great, I order tacos and the taco shells were old and stale, a tiny small drop of avocado (price over product wasn't great). The onion rings came with a nice spicy barbacue sauce. The chicken fingers had a fresh Mexican salsa that could've been better paired with the tacos. The French fries that came with the chicken fingers were not...

I went to the place named Taps Bebek with my friend today. I registered there from beautypass. First, they said that I needed to do the registiration and they can't give the food. I said that I have already done it. Then the manager came and he said that I can't bring any friends with me that I should have been alone. So, we asked if is it about the food. They said yes and we offered to sit even different tables until we finish even our meals. Because we had no intention to share the food. My friend was going to order his own meal he was normal customer. They didn't even accept this.

Very good beers, decent pub grub, reasonable prices, with a beautiful view overlooking the Bosphorus. Upstairs is considerably quieter than downstairs, and has a better view.

Given its waterfront location in an expensive part of Istanbul, prices were reasonable. Great place to hang out.

Taps is about 40 meters north of the Bosphorus entrance to Boğaziçi Üniversitesi. In warm weather, the glass front wall of the restaurant is open. Many Interior walls are decorated with mirrors that have Turkish poetry etched in the glass.
