Venge Etiler | Et | Restaurant İstanbul — Restaurant in Beşiktaş

Except for the pointless large LCDs for watching football that turns the place into a pub rather than a restaurant, this place is one of the better kebap places you can eat decent kebaps. Very good bbq and oven for great pides and close to excellent kebaps. The pistachio kebap is to die for but the meat is also very well prepared with ribs and piece meat (ribs, shish, döner, kueshleme etc) being served extremely tender and well marinated. The mezes are far above average with yoghurt based mezes pulling up the average. Deserts are mediocre although fruit based deserts are usually above average. Good and attentive service. Again the LCDs are a major drawback to the place that spoil the whole mood and make the place look cheap, which is not the case....

Very nice ambient, fresh, quite (at least the area), Staff is very careful and pass to your table to check if everything is in order (without asking you and disturb you during the conversation with Your tablemates). Food is very very very nice..eat a kebab on eggplant and was so juicy and tasty that stick on my mind for all my duration of stay in Istanbul. Nice idea also the choice of starters on the tray. They let the time to "breath" from a portion to another which is quite unique nowadays (except than in italy) and I appreciate it. Make the meal time longer but if in good company time pass...

👎👎 I was here today to have lunch with my partner the food was good but they over charge tourists in absurd ways so in total we payed 550 TL extra from the first moment we sat on the chairs they brought for us a tray of appetizers and we requested to bring the menu to choose from,after we placed order while he was writing everything on small note they brought a different starter we thought its their standard free starter And in the end we found 270 TL service fee in the bill and on top of that 280 TL for the starter we didn’t order ! Shameful and...
