Front of house owner who sits outside is very charming and speaks very good English. We walked past a few times but eventually booked a table for a Friday evening at 7:30. When we arrived there were around 15% of tables occupied and order was taken relatively quickly, however it took almost an hour for the food to arrive and there were 3 mistakes. First my son's main came as a starter, my daughter was given the wrong meal and the green salad on the menu said it came with Feta cheese but this was not included. Also, the waiter said bread and meze would be provided as a complementary starter but this had to be asked for after our starters had been served. As this added a further delay to us getting all of the correct meals we asked the waiter for a complementary round of drinks and he spoke to his manager who agreed. After finishing we asked for the bill and found that all drinks had been charged and queried this with the waiter. The owner/front of house then appeared and after a discussion (he didn't realise Feta cheese was included in the menu items for the salad) he offered a 10% discount, but this was less than the cost of the complimentary round of drinks (2 beers and 3 apple juices). This was declined and then the 10% discount was removed with the threat of the police being called unless we paid the full amount. He then said that none of his staff spoke English and they could not have agreed to a free round of drinks and nobody should come to his restaurant not being able to speak any Turkish. He then threw in an F bomb and said reviews were not important to him.
Finally, the food itself was very good but don't be deceived by the smile and charm of the man...
Read morePlease do not be fooled by the pictures of good reviews turkish people give to this place. Just been there two hours ago on arrival they thought they were getting 4 tourists and quickly used their radio to communicate to eachother yhat 4 mugs was here to try and rip off well thats until they saw my husband was turkish then their faces turned sour. Anyhow the 2 men had raki and me i had what was surposed to be ice coffee at a cost equivalent to £4.50 which looked very week full of ice and no dressing to make it look good and my cousin had a mojito equivalent of £10 english that just had lemon and mint in,no crushed ice taste of any alcohol or dressing around the glass rim. I did not drink mine and my cousin tasted a quarter of glass I sent the drink down to complain with waiter and it came back within seconds,no change. I refused to drink nor pay for it aling with my cousins. I seriously felt like tipping it on his head. No wonder people are now starting to complain...
Read moreMy friends and I were visiting the area and wanted to enjoy a night of Latin music and dancing. We found Grey Beach Club and Restaurant on Facebook, and saw they were playing bachata on the second floor. We were excited to go.
However, when we arrived, we were shocked by how we were treated. While some people were being let in without any questions, we were denied entry without explanation. The person at the front didn’t give us a reason or any alternative — it felt like we were being singled out and profiled.
As tourists, this was a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience. We ended up going back to our hotel instead of enjoying our night. This kind of discrimination is unacceptable, and I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially international visitors. The staff should treat all customers with respect...
