I had the pleasure of visiting Mersinli Ciğerci Azze, and I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Turkey. From the moment I walked in, I felt the warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately sets this place apart. The restaurant has a traditional yet cozy style, with an authentic Turkish spirit that makes you feel like you’re about to enjoy something very special. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles and hospitality, which is something I truly value. They were attentive without being intrusive, always ready to explain the dishes, recommend their specialties, and make sure that every detail of the experience was perfect. Their professionalism and kindness really added to the overall positive feeling I had during my visit. Now, let’s talk about the food—the real star of the evening. As the name suggests, this place is famous for its ciğer (liver kebab), and it absolutely lived up to the reputation. The liver was perfectly grilled, tender, and full of flavor, with that smoky aroma that only true masters of the grill can achieve. It came served with freshly baked bread, delicious mezes, and a variety of fresh herbs and onions that balanced the richness of the meat beautifully. Every bite was a reminder of why Turkish cuisine is so loved around the world. Aside from the liver kebab, I also tried some of their other grilled meats, and they were just as excellent. Juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection—each dish carried that homemade authenticity that makes you feel like you’re enjoying a family recipe passed down through generations. The portions were generous, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. One thing that really impressed me was the quality of the accompaniments. The salads were crisp and refreshing, the pickles had just the right amount of tanginess, and the ayran was frothy and delicious—exactly what you need to complement the rich flavors of the grill. Ich könnte sogar behaupten, sie haben einen geheimen Sensor im Tisch. Kaum waren die Teller gefährlich nah an der Gabelgrenze – zack – schon war die Schale wie durch Zauberhand wieder voll. Ich hatte das Gefühl, die Meze führen einen internen Reproduktionsprozess durch. Der hausgemachte Ayran? Legendär. Ich vermute, da wurde ein Hauch anatolischer Bergluft mit eingerührt. Jetzt zum Hauptakt: Die Leberspieße waren zart, würzig und perfekt gegrillt. Jeder Biss eine Offenbarung. Und der Adana Kebab? Eine Wucht! So viel Feuer, Geschmack und Raffinesse in einem Spieß – das war kein Essen, das war ein Statement. Fazit: Am Ende haben wir Taschentücher verlangt weil unsere Tränen von all der kulinarischen Explosion im Mund nicht zurück halten konnten. Wenn du in Fethiye bist und Mersinli Ciğerci Azze nicht ausprobierst, hast du entweder deine Geschmacksknospen beleidigt oder versehentlich Urlaub auf einem anderen Planeten gebucht. Am Ende gab es sogar noch was zum Mitnehmen, so das wir in Deutschland nochmal an den Genuss gekommen sind.

We had a lunch today at the restaurant but the experience was much less than we expected. We arrived there before 1pm but when we ordered some popular dishes recommended online but was informed that they had been sold out. We only had a few choices for lunch. Furthermore, we also felt the management not professional. When we had a plate of rolls with lamb minces in it, with yoghurt in the middle, we found two hair in a roll. We reported that to the waiter and saw him talking to the waitress (or the manager). She came near our table, seemed to observe our reaction but explained nothing about this. Not mention to a sorry. We didn't continue the rest of the rolls and quickly paid the whole bill to leave. We felt disappointed and disrespectful especially when our initial plan was to have a nice lunch and help to promote this restaurant on our social...
