Önallar Fethiye — Restaurant in Fethiye

My family and I are Australian Turks. We came here for breakfast originally and after being so satisfied, we decided to return for dinner that same night. Firstly, the waiter Mr Veysel, offered us a complimentary dips plate which was delicious and very typical however in recent times quite hard to find in the restaurants of today. I have searched far and wide to find a specific dish called Güveç that I am obsessed with and not many have gotten it right. Without exaggeration, this dish blew my mind. I finished it all myself! The meat was cooked to perfection, melting in your mouth. The waiter was extremely friendly, basically speaking with us the entire night which we welcomed. The place has been operating for 20 years and while most places lose their touch after so long - this restaurant still believes in providing their customers with not only their moneys worth, but a great atmosphere also. Bonus for those with kids - there is a park within arms reach directly next to it so the little ones can have a play also ! Literally a stone's throw from the worst restaurant in Fethiye is one of the best. Although situated away from the kordon and on the corner of a sometimes busy intersection, the seating is surrounded by hedges and under a canopy of trees and is a very pleasant place to be. The meat is of excellent quality and the cooking matches it. The staff are very professional, standing back when appropriate but always there when required... excellent. Everything is very clean, especially the toilets and in good decorative order. We stayed far longer than anticipated and even the musical trio on duty were surprisingly good...at least I could follow the chord sequences during their playing, something that is quite difficult, if not impossible to do with most live Turkish music. 380 TL for 3 people, including wine even had my Turkish partner remarking that it was good value for the quality of food we had enjoyed. Couldn't fault the place...we will...

I love the menu here, Dinner and Breakfast, Serpme Kahvaltı - the table spread breakfast is to die for, for its selection of homemade jams. You have to try the tomato jam, it is truely unique. For lunch and Dinner, the Turkish Pitas are done to perfection with a nice selection of mixes. For main meat courses, you will be delighted at the sight of the cuts of meat, the şiş-kebabs and types available. And as an extra touch of uniqueness, you can choose to cook your choice of meet or kebab at your table in a table side grill.

İf you are in the are and are looking to eat an authentic Turkish restaurant with a homemade food quality, I recommend Önallar Köy Sofrası.
