Made a reservation at the sea-side. Because of traffic we were running late so we called if everything was fine. The restaurant said it was. Once we entered this did not seem to be the case.
After waiting for a while they finally arranged a seat at the sea-side. The view was truly beautiful, but this was the most positive thing of the whole evening. The service was very bad and felt super-rushed. They didn’t care much about their guests and were running from one place to another. The staff also lacked knowledge about their menu. It is a meat restaurant and they couldn’t distinguish an entrecote from a rib-eye steak & when asking which cut of a cow the New York steak comes from they answered with ‘New York’.
Although this was the case the lamb soup was good and the rib-eye was decent. However, I tried the filet steak of my friend who wanted to have it medium. It was extremely dry and especially for a meat restaurant far below quality. Both dishes were not served very warm which also influences the quality of the meat.
Overall, great place, horrible service, and below average quality of food. I would expect more from a restaurant which calls themselves a...
Read moreI don't know if it's due to being Muslim and not drinking but seemed like they had thier heads up drinkers backsides. We got a new York steak and ribeye. Asked for both medium ended up with a rare and I mean almost alive rare. Named it Stewart sure it's trying to hoof it out my tummy right now. The place is pretty, the view amazing but that's all. Everyone was drinking apart from a couple of tables and that's what it's for really a nice view, smoke and drink. The portions are nice but not worth the price taste was mediocre and 30 mins to get a rare steak is a joke knock that out at home in 10 with prep included. The sides chips are good you get 3 prices of broccoli and 2 carrot pieces. The best thing was the cheesy bread at the start for free. Drinks selection for non alcoholic is a joke didn't even have lemonade. Its turkey orages and Lemons everywhere just not here 😕 . Over all this place is 3 out of 10 for food and 7 out of 10 for location. If you have been to ribeye in Manchester you should understand what I'm saying or look them up and see. Amazing decor, great service, timing Impeccable, taste at least 9 out of 10, price up there...
Read moreIn a nutshell this place is overrated. I’m scratching my head over all the other reviewers, they probably all had the steak because I will give the restaurant credit, the beef is good, in the beef salad and in the steaks. Although the salad in the beef salad is quite sloppy and cut rough and chunky which I personally hate to see in salads.
Avoid the lamb, it’s overly fatty and bland beyond belief. The Shrimp Casserole starter was salty and the Lamb leg soup was unpalatable. The tagliatelle pastas also didn’t go down well- again very bland.
The beef burger was good, as was the Adana Kebab. Note to self: when in Turkey eat Turkish food as it is usually delicious in most restaurants.
The service was meh, I was with nine of my family relatives and the staff were extremely slow to take away the small plates we used for bread, my starter came out and was perched on the corner of the table because my bread plate was just left there, it wasn’t until I’d finished my starters that all the plates were cleared.
There were other smaller details here and there that I wasn’t too impressed with but the above captures most of my and my family’s...
