It was okay, but nothing special. Trying to look fancy, but has a bit of a dead vibe and lacks the generous Turkish hospitality we experienced elsewhere, also costs a bit more than other things you can find in Konyaalti.
While the food isn’t bad by any means, I found the menu confusing, it wasn’t clear that the mains don’t come with any side and there wasn’t a sides section either to choose anything from, so we just ended up with a plate of meat on its on. (For 180 lira, I would have expected it to come w something) Maybe some help or attention from the waiting staff would have helped the case. (We got some other dishes too, we were didn’t go home hungry!)
I also don’t rate places that put out water etc on your table when you arrive that you haven’t ordered but then charges you at the end for it, it’s just a bit sneaky for a trying to be posh place. Especially in Turkey when generally the culture is that every place gives you free tea so you’re kinda tricked into accepting it. It’s less than 15 lira, so no one will complain, but the gesture doesn’t feel right.
While it’s okay if you’re starved and near, I would give it a miss if you have...
Read moreHello! First of all, I would like to say that me and my family were certainly very pleased from the service and the taste of the traditional dishes we had in Tiritçizade. I would also like to explain how we came across with this elegant place. As we are not the locals of Antalya we were looking for a good place to eat and suddenly saw “The Konya Kitchen” Tiritçizade. We were sure we wanted to have a look. As we went in, we were welcomed and served delightfully. They recommended us their special dishes and explained them very well. The dishes were just like the ones in the pictures. Elegant and meticulously made... The taste was absolutely stunning. We had never eaten a dish with meat so well in a restaurant. We think they are really passionate about their job. We wish there were ten stars for us to give but they are the best! We highly recommend Tiritçizade and would like to go...
Read moreWe booked Tiritcizade for lunch. Our group was 10 in total so it was a fairly large table and they handled us with ease. Since we had a large group we had the chance to order a big selection of the dishes on the menu and we were so glad we did. The food could not have been better and it was all clearly made in house and very fresh, from the salads, bread and all the kebab dishes. A couple of standouts for us were the Sondurme Kebap (Chicken Kebab), the Ali Nazik Lamb, the Lahmacun, and the big surprise you should not miss is the Cig Kofte which is a lentil kofte. We reordered a second round on some of the dishes it was so good. Portion sizes were generous and the pricing was very fair. Bonus for us since we were coming via cruise ship is the restaurant is only a ten minute taxi ride back to the port terminal. We would go back in...
