We had room 405. It was humid, hot, the walls were mouldy and dank and the air was stale and musky. It was like walking into an Egyptian Sarcophagus! To make matters worse there is no A/C. It is the lowest room in the hotel. Our itinerary said we would be staying at the Antique House and somehow we ended up in Luna Cave Hotel down through the back door. There is no privacy latch or internal lock on the door from inside, so to secure yourself you had to key lock yourself into the room, which is a fire escape hazard! But we couldn’t even lock our door as we had to leave the door ajar to get some fresh air. The room had little privacy as it was a communal entry with the room next door. A pump somewhere outside kept running for a short cycle every 15 minutes! We didn’t sleep at all. Shame on you Trip a Deal! This is no way to treat your touring guests…..Doesn’t...
Read moreBreakfast was wonderful, with two homemade dishes that differed every day made by the lovely lady (unfortunately we didn’t get her name!). In addition they also provided bread with multiple sides (jams, cheeses, olives, butter). Everyone was so friendly (and the little girl absolutely adorable)! Abdulla slept by reception and greeted us when we arrived very late (2am), and also was up to organise our hot air balloon trip at 4am on another day. Thank you to the whole lovely family!
Things to note: There is no AC which I imagine can be uncomfortable in summer nights, the area is quiet in terms of people but there are dogs barking frequently (however we got used to this). We got the cheapest room so we believe that it being categorized as a 3 star hotel is adequate. Perhaps the better rooms are...
Read moreQuite surprising to see the review as I had 2 nights stay and couldn’t sleep at all.
Perhaps due to summer, I strongly suggest not to consider this place during summer as they don’t have AC (air conditioning) and to add they didn’t have sufficient fans to provide to a very low number of rooms which makes it even more suspicious to see their ‘3 star’ hotel claim.
They promised to get the fans on day 2 but kept it dragging and this really made it even more frustrating. Breakfast is poor and the rooms aren’t maintained well.
The only one aspect about the hotel is Abdulla whose willing to help within his limits but he didn’t get the solutions we wanted.
Overall a very bad experience and will never ever...
