This place will blow your mind. Here’s a run down of what we got.
APPETIZER: Rockefeller oysters.
First plate: Crab plate with only crab legs. Sides were corn, mac n cheese and rice and peas...the pease are beans though so don’t be confused by that when you see it.
My plate was: Crab plate with only crab legs. Sides: corn, shrimp fried rice and French fries.
BREAKDOWN:
ROCKAFELLER OYSTERS: so tasty If you like baked oysters you’ll love these. It was cheesy, creamy, crabby, oystery deliciousness.
CRAB: The sauce that comes on the crab legs is ridiculously good. It’s panko bread crumbs with some type of lemony deliciousness. We couldn’t stop licking our fingers as weird as that sounds, you’ll understand once you go here and try it. The crab also cracks so easily and is so good. If you can somehow get extra crab sauce on the plate I’d ask for it.
SHRIMP FRIED RICE: amazing and would get again as a side. Tastes great with the sauces from the crab and corn
CORN: freekin incredible…the sauce on that corn is FIRE. I’d be asking if they could put extra sauce on the plate for corn as well.
FRENCH FRIES: if you have kids they will like the fries. They were good.
RICE AND PEAS: good but not even close to as good as the shrimp fried rice…my opinion. My girlfriend disagrees with me though.
MAC N CHEESE: it was decent.
If we had to change our orders I would have said no French fries. I would have said 2 sides of Corn and the 3rd side would stay the shrimp fried rice.
My girlfriend said she would replace the Mac n cheese with 2 sides of corn as the plates we ordered came with 3 sides each.

Hookum Crab Shack is hands down the best seafood and fish restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life. This was my first time in Turks and Caicos, and while the island itself is paradise, the food at this local gem truly elevated our entire stay.
Their VIP Hookum Plate and the local snapper with green plantain, shrimp fried rice and corn were absolutely unforgettable — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.at a very affordable price.
But what truly made the experience special was the service. Nisha and Keyna were outstanding — so kind, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. Their warmth made us feel right at home.

Read moreThat. Was. Amazing. Hands down THE best place we’ve eaten in Turks and Caicos. Their special sauce is supernatural - as soon as we left I wanted to turn around and come back for more. We had the Wing Boil and the Hookum Shrimp Boil. Both DELICIOUS!! The portions were very generous and the price was very reasonable! Kenya was delightful - she helped us choose the dishes with the perfect combination of flavors and sauces, took our pictures, and gave us some tips on what to do and see in Turks and Caicos! Her personality was so welcoming and positive - we felt at ease, so relaxed and taken care of! We DEFINITELY will tell everyone we know about this place because this hidden gem needs to be known and tried by as many people as possible!
