The two Thai ladies working there are probably the two rudest people Iāve ever met. Me and my daughter came in for a nice meal after a day of exploring the area. Maybe we didnāt look ārichā enough to be in there, hence they looked down their nose at us (we could see they were being cordial with all the other patrons) Either way, throwing menus down, asking for your order by saying āwhat?ā, never making eye contact, started talking in thai to her colleague while I was MID SENTENCE then just sauntered away from the table mid order. Came back 10 minutes later, and grunted at us for the rest of the order.
Other than that, the food was pretty basic.the fish sauce didnāt smell or taste like any other fish sauce Iāve had at Thai restaurants. smelled like it had gone off. The muscles were dry and rubbery, like the came out of a packet bought at Sainsburyās next door. (Update: we went and got some muscles from Sainsburyās the next day and they were literally the same ones)
All in all an absolute horrid experience.
Oh⦠and they added a service charge for this 5 star experience without even asking.
RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE: the fact that you didnāt mention the main crux of the issue, (that being the abysmal way we were treated by your staff) in your response is disappointing to say the least. Makes me think you donāt have a problem with mistreating customers if they donāt look like they come from money. The Thai prawn crackers were overcooked and appeared to be of poorer quality than usual. Long delay between courses. Money bags were overcooked (almost burnt). Prawn Pad Thai didn't appear to be fresh and was tasteless also no peanuts. The chicken red curry only included a single tastless vegetable (swede?) and was bland (no spice heat). Worst of all was the chilli beef with Basil, where the beef appeared to have been deep fat fried. Also, it resembled a fajitas filling with the number of different coloured peppers.
