We came here again with the korean students from Peniel School, South Korea. They had insisted on trying the Halal Chinese foods, and obviously this is the best place for that purpose...
This is already the second time we came here for lunch, and this time was with our Korean guests.
We wanted to impress upon them that we do have a lot of Halal chinese food restaurants in Malaysia, and that they should promote the same in Korea, to encourage muslim tourists to visit and try their sumptous cuisine. Again we had to order the Steamed Grouper with chili, as this was a favorite for the Koreans. In fact, they hardly bother with the Sze Chuan Chicken and Butter Prawns!
We had ordered a jug of orange juice and another jug of watermelon juice with laici, which is a very common drink locally. But surprisingly, the Korean were so amazed with the watermelon laici, and kept asking for more...Mr Chung had stressed that it was the best juice he ever had!!
Looks like this trip to Malaysia wont be his last one...
Read moreI went to this restaurant looking for some comforting ford such as soups because I was under the weather. This restaurant did not dissapoint me. i ordered the dumpling wantan mee soup. It was served in an interesting looking bowl but the portion size is enough for 1 person. The price is also reasonable. When the food was served it was brought using an adorable robot which was accompanied by a waiter. On the other hand, the workers. there are very friendly and helpful. My sister wanted to have a si rice dish. In the menu there was a wide range of fried rice from seafood to chinese inspired. In the end the chose the classic fried rice with a side of prawns, clams and octopus . The price is a bit hefty but considering seafood is expensive so it is understandable. I definately would recommend mohd Chan a chinese muslim restaurant which is located nearby Kuantan Medical contre for people who are food looking for...
Read moreThis 20th franchise of Mohd Chan Restaurant was just opened in Kuantan a few weeks ago. It serves halal chinese foods. For me, the food are quite okay but the staffs are very customer-friendly. I rate 6/10 for the foods. The food is a bit pricey maybe because it is a well known restaurant. I suggest you to come early or make a reservation if you planning to have a dinner with a large group of people since they often have many customers during the peak hour (lunch and dinner). You can choose your meal from the hot cooking dishes (fried rice, chicken rice) to white rice and side dishes. I would recommend the dim sum and the yam basket with kong boh chicken. The kong boh chicken is a bit spicy so it's may not be suitable for all kids. If you craving for chinese halal foods maybe you can have a try at...
