Java House — Restaurant in Kampala

I had the chance today to visit this restaurant after a long time. It's a busy place and it's location partially explains this. Secondly, it appears it also majors as a meeting spot, rather than for the quality of its service or food. The service is slow. Most of the time no one even bothers to come to either serve or check if you are in need of service. The food was also dissapointing: I had the fruit salad with honey and nuts and very disappointing. The mango was bitter, probably not fully ripened. Conversely, the pineapple should have been served a few days earlier. The peanuts were soft from airation... I could go on, but I but the point should be made. More importantly they don't really care.

However, the ambience is relatively good and people keep coming as I did.

Gets busy during the day. Might be a little crowded during the lunch hour. Food is okay but not exceptional. Limited items on the menu of a basic variety. Staff are friendly though a little busy and may not be as attentive when you need quick assistance. Location is very good for a quick bite. Stable wifi and comfortable inside seating with multiple sockets makes it very popular for those seeking to get some online work done. Ultimately this one is the best of the Java House outlets...

I used to really love this place. But the product quality had slowly been declining, so I don't visit much anymore. For example, there's a buy-one-get-one-free promo on classic sandwiches till the end of the month, by they're really lacklustre..nothing at all compared to the ones served in-house the usual way.
