I love my occasional kampala trips and almost always end up at Platia! I love the options and the beautiful atmosphere.

Our party ordered Orexi Gyros (pork and chicken). Great flavor, not both meats were a bit dry. It’s a small portion, so order a side. These items came pretty quick.

We also ordered from Covina Casera, a calzone. Crust is soft and delicious. The inside “toppings” are precooked, so it wasn’t completely hot. This thing is BIG!

Ordering from Coffee Culture was my least favorite ordering experience. My entire table had already ordered and I was still trying to get someone’s attention. We also had to chance them down for the bill. My food also came after everyone else finished. I ordered shredded pork tacos. Great presentation and great Flavour.

Frozen Castle finished our visit with frozen yogurt charged by weight. A nice treat!

Sitting area is well maintained and clean. We will be...

Food was nice. Staff were friendly. The place has a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Options are limited if you're vegetarian. I thought that it was quite good that there were a number of different restaurants serving different cuisines that you could order from until we got the bill(s). You get individual bills from each restaurant that you ordered from so it got a bit confusing. We ended up just totally the amount of each receipt and letting the staff sort it out between the restaurants themselves. Having a centralised billing system that takes this hassle from the customer would be much better. There is also a play area for older kids and a chargeable...

Platia is a couryard with a number of cafes, coffee shops and restuarants in Kampala. I had a late afternoon meal and glass of wine at Platia. I had the Nile Perch with fries with a Greek salad. The fish was nice but I suspect the fries were double fried. The salad was too salty for me. In Uganda they do like their salt in their food. My meal was disturbed by a group of unruly kids shouting and running around the courtyard. Thankfully they disappeared and I was able to have a nice glass of wine. The service as always is excellent....
