A Disastrous Dining Experience

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Middle East Restaurant Arena Mall , and I must say it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The hype surrounding this establishment is baffling, considering the abysmal quality of both the food and service.

Firstly, the food was served cold, as if it had been left out in the Arctic for an extended period. I ordered Chicken Shawarma Platter , and when it arrived, it was evident that it had been sitting around for quite some time. The flavors were muted, and the overall dining experience was ruined by the lack of attention to detail in the kitchen.

To add insult to injury, my order was missing a crucial item. I brought it to the attention of the waitstaff, who seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than addressing the issue. The response was lackluster, and after a considerable wait, the missing item was brought to the table with no apology or explanation.

The service was shockingly poor throughout the entire meal. The waitstaff appeared disinterested and indifferent to the customers. It was as if they were doing us a favor by allowing us to dine in their establishment. Requests for assistance or clarification were met with sighs and eye rolls, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere.

Now, let's talk about the prices. The menu at boasts high-end, gourmet options that might trick you into thinking you're in for a culinary masterpiece. However, the reality is far from it. The food is overpriced for the subpar quality I've had better meals at more modestly priced establishments.

In conclusion, this place is an over-hyped and overpriced establishment that fails to deliver on the most basic aspects of dining – serving hot, flavorful food, and providing attentive service. I've been here a couple of times...There's usually a little wait for the food to arrive, but it's really tasty 😋 However, one thing I noticed that bothered me last time was that we arrived there a bit past 10 pm. When the waiter gave us the menus, he rushed us to make orders, saying that the kitchen would be closed in a little while, which is quite understandable. But an hour later, past 11pm, a group of Middle Easterns walked in, the same waiter gave them menus and let them take their time to choose. So why was he rushing us?? That's why I give the service a 4-star. That aside, the interior is well lit with beautiful art pieces hanging on the walls. Quite a cosy environment.
