We had an AWFUL Karaoke night experience at The Drop. My group of 9 friends arrived at 7pm, ready to have a great time, after having booked a table earlier on but instead, we were ignored for nearly 3 hours while the Karaoke Host let her friends—who came after us—take the stage multiple times. We asked about our turn several times, and she pretended like she didn’t know which cards were ours and asked us to point them out. Even when we did, she brushed us off and said only one of our song choices was "good enough" to play and she would add only that one to the queue. BUT Here’s the Kicker: before our one song even came up, she grabbed the mic and insulted us in front of everyone, saying, “Some of you think you’re better than everyone else—you ain’t (*bad word) and have to wait like everyone else.” This was totally uncalled for, and COMPLETELY OUT OF POCKET, and when we tried to address it with the DJ and her friends, they just said, “She gets like that when she’s drunk, bear with her please, we are all so sorry.” Honestly, we were stunned by the lack of professionalism. All done was be kind to her whilst we asked and had been nothing but patent all through. Huge shoutout to Simon and Diana from the waiting staff who were super kind and we enjoyed our drinks ❤. We got up and left after complaining to the manager and won’t be coming back. What a waste of 4 hours on a Friday night! The Drop really needs to be careful who they hire for these activity nights because representation is everything. Anyway, they've lost us as customers...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to dine at The Drop restaurant, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The restaurant boasts a delightful ambiance with its warm lighting, stylish decor, and comfortable seating. The music playing in the background created a soothing atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for both work and meetings.
One of the highlights of The Drop was undoubtedly the food. The menu offered a diverse range of delicious options, each bursting with flavor. From the appetizers to the main courses, the culinary creations were expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The attention to detail in the presentation was commendable, and the taste certainly did not disappoint.
However, while the food and atmosphere were exceptional, the service fell short of expectations. The staff appeared to be overwhelmed and lacked attentiveness. There were noticeable delays in taking orders, and requests for additional items were sometimes forgotten or took a considerable amount of time to fulfill. This aspect of the dining experience was disappointing and detracted from an otherwise enjoyable visit.
Despite the service hiccups, The Drop restaurant is still a noteworthy establishment. Its delectable cuisine, inviting atmosphere, and versatile space make it a great choice for a casual meal or a professional gathering. With some improvements in the service department, The Drop has the potential to become a truly outstanding dining...
Read moreThey never respond to online queries. I tried inquiring from them about their workspace via website, email, even on WhatsApp i got blue ticked twice.
UPDATE; So after complaining, they actually responded, so this is my take;
Work It's a fine place. apart from the car noises from the nearby road. their workspace is actually a peaceful place to do your work. Undisturbed, it's great. For developers, You won't be able SSH into your web servers with this WIFI. the connection through port 22 always times-out for some reason, therefor their internet wasn't very useful for me but works Okay for normal browsing.
Food; Haven't tried all their dishes but the fish and chips was okay. I love the way they do...
