India Palace Restaurant — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi Industrial City

We went to celebrate our anniversary. The ambience was really good and there were a lot of details towards the aesthetics of the restaurant. We love the wooden carvings on the doors and chairs. On the other hand the food and service was really bad. We ordered avocado papdi chaat, dum mutton roganjosh, mango lassi , shikanji, garlic naan and laccha parantha. Waited for almost half an hour for the main course to arrive on the table. The restaurant looked busy as it was friday night so we just waited patiently. Then our food arrives shikanji and mango lassi were room temprature. Too much ginger juice in shikanji. i asked to return the shikanji and called for water . Again i dont understand how someone is serving room temprature drinks, though i remember saying less ice and the server told us we dont put ice. We asked the naan for extra crispy which was just the opposite and really soft, same goes to laccha parantha. Roganjosh was flavourless. And then i asked for my cheque in the end and informed the staff that i will pay by careem .the server said i cant pay by careem and they only accept zomato and then i showed them the app which clearly states that i can pay by careem. Which was again denied by the supervisor( i am not sure about the designation though) and then one more senior staff said the same thing. I kept saying the same thing that i dont understand why i cant pay by careem and the counter arguement was that the marketing people were not stated this clearly but the restaurant policy is different. The servers Kept asking me for the reservation via careem which is not required by careem. You just walk in and pay by careem , thats how the app works. At the end i just got tired and paid by card and showed them my fazaa card. Being from the same hotelier background since almost 15 years i strongly suggest better training for the staff. The staff should be knowledgeble about these platforms if the restaurant is listed on the same. Never going back again to this...

It was my first visit in Feb 2025 The restaurant is located in a mall and easy to reach

The venue was recommended to my by a friend I was greeted by Nitu and served by many of the team.

Service Outstanding warm, friendly and professional. They want to ensure you leave with a smile on your face and I did that ! Rita was a great host. Chef Jabed (he came out to check on his guests which is a nice touch. food was amazing and full on North Indian style - full of flavour - but more on that shortly)

Naseef, Nitu, Priyanka and Prashant (Manager) delivered a service that would want you coming back for me.

Food Ordered chicken samosa - they are filled with chicken tikka - never had that before but they tasted great. high quality and they were so good that I ordered two potions. !!!!

Amritsari murgh was delicious - tasty and well made. Quality of chicken which is always a good test for me in a restaurant was very good too -

Aloo Tikki Chat was recommended by Nitu - a great recommendation. full of tangy flavours that take you back to the stalls in streets of India !

Masala papad was far tastier than I have had previously - so I rate that too !

Ordered a nan - which was lovely

Fresh orange and carrot juice - again great quality and nothing mixed apart from fresh ingredients

The ras malai was a great end to a lovely dinner

Atmosphere Clean, and positively warm ambience. The decor is lovely and matches the service and food quality

finally this venue comes highly recommended for all of the above ! They have restaurants in Dubai so will definitely try when I am back
