Al Afiya Al Maghribi Restaurant — Restaurant in Abu Dhabi

I'm a client since 2016 , I have referred many people that I know during my meetings , with my colleagues and who ever is asking me for a nice Moroccan food restaurant in Abdudhabi ,, Today I went for a breakfast , restaurant was empty , as every Friday they are preparing for lunch buffet which I don't normally attend ( I'm not fun of it in general ) A lady who apparently was the new manager was briefing her team in a very laud tone of voice ,,, I was seating in the corner where I usually set since 2016 either I'm with friends , family or alone , They were arranging tge space for the buffet that was going to start within an hour , and I was on final stage which is making the payment to depart .

She repeated 3 times to the team "that one in the corner is wasting the space for nothing " first of all I'm not "that one " I 'am a lady , a client! And I'm paying my money , I did not go to her house , I went to the restaurant where I'm paying my money to get a good service and respectful atmosphere , which I never had an issue with for the past 7 years . It Is a shame that somone with a very poor custmer service and does not know the bare minimum of the hospitality is in charge of the team ..... Taking by consideration if you want to give feedback to your team it should be away from the clients . And you should be respectful to the client because you dunno how much impact he has into sending and bringing more clients to that place . Let's think that I don't have my people that are coming to that place very often from different nationatities. It was a very bad experience , And I would never go back because I know the person in charge is not competent. Such a shame to end it here in this way...

This restaurant is beautifully furnished with Moroccan traditional interior, very vibrant, warm with a welcoming atmosphere. The traditional Moroccan Tea Lady welcoming you into the restaurant and mixing fresh brew of tea to your liking in a Moroccan taste of spice, a great touch of tradition.

The food was unbelievable, I was very impressed with the flavors, the menu was huge and plenty for anyone to choose from. The presentation of the meal and the platings was very carefully arranged with little touches of class, the teas was served in a beautiful Moroccan crystal glass and very thoughtful, and though at first seem expensive after the experience I considered it, value for your money.

The staff were very attentive although the communication was a bit hard at first, especially when asked to explain their menu or the types of food and their ingredients..

We had a lovely waitress Majdouline who took very good care of us with great mannerisms and personality with a smile. She was very thoughtful and went the extra mile to please us with suggestions on what to try.

We had a beautiful meal and after we were just content to sit there and enjoy our tea and it’s environment. It’s a place that you can just pop in and have a cup of tea or coffee in quite comfort and enjoy the setting. We Shall return with some friends to share the...

This is my first time here,this is a review of the breakfast only. When I got In I was greeted with nice welcoming staff. Once I and the family sat on our table we ran in to (not so professional server - youngster) I would rate him 1 star. The rest of the servers are excellent but since that youngster served us the first half of the period, I gave 3 stars for service. The food portions were tiny for a combination it is not filling at all, plus it is missing a lot from a common Moroccan breakfast. For example there was no cheese!! There was no (luncheon meat - كاشير) no selection of hot Moroccan breakfast drinks..etc. The Moroccan bread portions were little as well. The hareera soup was was excellent ,so. It seems to me that this restaurant is best for lunch and dinner, it is probably a 4 or 5 stars for lunch or dinner however for breakfast I would say don't bother coming over here you might as well eat at home. Or maybe a coffee shop!!! In conclusion: place looks decent, traditional and clean. Food is not so tasty ,portion size is small. 90% of the servers are excellent but we ran in to the one inexperienced server. I will visit again but for lunch or dinner, never for breakfast.
