I saw many good reviews and certainly wasn't disappointed after trying it myself! The food was tasty and generously sized; overall favoursome without being too salty - very nicely spiced. It's probably the best Lebanese I've had in a long while!
The meal started with a complimentary salad, labneh, and hummus. The garlic mint labneh was deliciously refreshing and the hummus was nutty with light olive notes. We ordered lentil soup, which was delicious - not too salty and very smooth! The mixed grill Zahrat Lebnan meats were tender, moist, and herby. The shrimp was was well-flavoured and perfectly done; juicy with no toughness! The Al Raheb Salad (grilled/mashed eggplant salad) had wonderful charcoal and citrus notes and was a refreshing side to the koftas and lamb chops on the mixed grill. The fatteh eggplant was fantastic - there was actually more meat than we expected, but it was a great mix with the eggplant and toasted bread - a real treat.
The mixed layers fruit cocktail was fresh, but perhaps a little too sweetened for my taste (my wife enjoyed it, however)! The ayran was an appetising side.
The atmosphere was great overall. The restaurant layout means you will see customers coming from in front and behind you (unless you are seated in the back). The bathrooms were a tiny bit tight, and floors near the sink a little damp, but understandable with all the people coming through what appeared to be a very popular restaurant!
Brilliant overall. Thank you also to Bahaa and Fazza; the service was friendly and welcoming and we felt well looked after! I hope that we have a chance to come again. Thanks for...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at zahret lebnan and it was an experience to remember. From the moment I walked in, I was transported to the vibrant streets of Beirut, thanks to the warm and welcoming ambiance. The decor is a beautiful blend of traditional Lebanese elements with a modern twist, creating an inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings.
The menu is a true celebration of Lebanese cuisine, offering a wide array of dishes that cater to every palate. The mezze platter is a must-try, with each item more flavorful than the last. The hummus was creamy and perfectly seasoned, while the tabbouleh was fresh and zesty. I was particularly impressed with the grilled meats—the lamb was tender and juicy, and the chicken skewers were bursting with flavor. The use of fresh herbs and spices in every dish was evident, making each bite a delightful experience.
The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were more than happy to guide us through the menu and make recommendations. The waitstaff were knowledgeable about the dishes and took the time to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect.
To top it all off, the dessert selection was simply divine. The baklava was crisp and sweet, with just the right amount of honey, and the knafeh was a perfect balance of creamy and...
Read moreSaw all the good review and decided to bring my entire family to here and eat dinner. Came with high expectation and though it must be a hidden gem in the city. However, nothing satisfied us. Almost empty restaurant even in the busiest time on weekend. Staffs were hanging outside smoking. It seems the place has been deserted. We ordered 2kg mix grill and other grills, as well as salads, falafel, shawarma, juice etc. Grills were BAD, not fresh, dry, must have been in fridge for months even years. CANNOT BE EATEN AT ALL Some grilled chicken were BURNT. Clearly cooks didn't know how to cook. THOSE CAUSE CANCER! Salads were okay but some leaves were not fresh. Juices were so sweet that it was like they pour entire bags of sugar into the jars. BAD TASTE. Falafels were super dry and difficult to eat. Lebanese breads were also BURNT. CANNOT BE EATEN. How dare you call yourself Lebannese restaurant. SHAME ON YOU.
THIS ENTIRE RESTAURANT IS RIDICULOUS. PLEASE...
